My rotala plants thinned out a lot this past week and I don't know why. They're in a 55 gallon walstad tank with good lighting and the rest of the plants are doing great. The rotala keeps shedding its bottom leaves but is actively showing new growth. I put the rotala in the tank about a month ago.

Any advice would be appreciated.

They can smell the food

My garra rufa won't let anyone else in my 55 gallon eat the sizable piece of lettuce I put in there 🤣

I knew they could be territorial over food but it's hilarious how he looks for a moment then realizes.

I put the wafers towards the front of the tank so I could watch the animals snack on 'em. One of my large amanos took a whole wafer and hid by the filter intake
