What car would you Buy And Why. 2uz 200 vs fte 100 series

Always wanted a 200 series but just can't afford all the problems that come along with the diesel one. I love my petrol cars just as much as my diesel and not really worried about fuel economy. Were I live in can get a 2uz with 300,000ks for around the 20 to 25k mark and a fte for around 30 to 35k mark with 300,000ks.
My question is what what you chose for touring and comfortably?
I've been in a 105 for an 8hr drive and will admit there pretty dam nice to sit in but look fairly shit on the outside is the 200 series much comfier?
The way im looking at it is
200 cheaper buy price bit more on rego and fuel but a fair bit more money left over for mods and has power stock.
Fte seems abit sluggish from factory so gonna have to spend money on a tune or bigger turbo and all the stuff that comes along with it. But cheaper fuel and rego. Yes it's gods motor but arguably the 2uz is the petrol gods motor
