Anyone else ever felt uneasy at Calcutta Bunglow?

Okay, I need to know if this is just me and my friend being dramatic or if anyone else has felt this.

We went to Calcutta Bungalow in Shyambazar around 8 PM. Neither of us had ever been there before. Even getting there felt weird because we walked from Shyambazar Metro and barely anyone seemed to know where the place was.

The moment we entered, the vibe felt off. The receptionist vaguely told us to go upstairs, and we ended up climbing this narrow, dimly lit staircase. The first floor looked empty. On my left there was this dark room that immediately made me uncomfortable for some reason. Then on one of the landings there was literally a single chair sitting under a yellow light. The whole building felt strangely deserted despite being a hotel.

We eventually found the rooftop café, but the feeling didn't go away. This is the weird part: we had walked a long distance, it was hot, we were tired, and there was water right in front of us. Normally we'd have sat down for at least five minutes after all that. Instead, my friend looked at me and said, "Let's leave," and I agreed immediately because I wanted to get out too. We didn't even sit. We didn't drink the water. We just walked straight back out, booked an Uber, and left.

Nothing happened. Nobody bothered us. We didn't see anything strange. But both of us felt so uneasy that we ended up going all the way to City Centre Salt Lake instead. Looking back, that's what confuses me most. We had every reason to stay and relax, yet both of us wanted to leave the second we got there.

Has anyone else been there and felt something similar? Not saying the place is haunted or anything, just wondering if anyone else got a really unsettling vibe from it... And no we are absolutely not spooked easy, we were just trying to have a girl's night out 😭
