Help!

my room doesn’t have any conveniently place outlets, so all these cords are attached to a large power strip on the other side of my bedside table.y mattress is on the floor so I ant put anything under the bed, but that wouldn’t be helpful because there is no outlet near my bed. tips on the bedside table would be helpful too, some stuff is just junk I have to put away but mostly it’s stuff I have no idea what to do with. 😥 thank you!!

boyfriends mom doesn’t think she should have to pay me for tailoring commission

UPDATE: I had a convo w bf, he admitted that the 20 I did get paid was from his sisters after he explained the situation to them. so his mom has paid me no money. He is going to talk to her later this week after he talks to his sisters.

For context, my bf and I are both in high school, important for dynamic. I like to sew, so I do a lot of commissions for other kids at my school and friends and family. My rates are very low because I don’t want to overcharge anyone and most of my clients are unemployed since I’m in high school. I have done about three commissions for my boyfriend’s mom, each including 3 to 5 pieces of clothing. I normally charge around $10 per item that I tailor just as a flat rate, which is already extremely low and honestly, if I were an actual business, I would be charging much more. I have established this cost with her in the past and she has been totally fine with it and paid me in full. This time, however, she didn’t pay me until about two weeks after I had given her back the finished items. I wasn’t worried because I knew she just had to go to the bank to get some cash and she obviously wasn’t just gonna not pay me. On Sunday, my boyfriend brought the money when he came over to my house and it was half of what it should have been. I tailored four pieces of clothing for her so it should’ve been 40 and she gave me 20. Apparently, she had told him that she thought since she bought me a ticket to go to Six Flags with him which was around $30, that she shouldn’t have to pay me full price. I think this is weird because my parents have taken him on a family trip, he is over for dinner at least once a week, and pay for similar things without an expectation of him “owing us back”. his older sisters, one of which is an actual tailor who has her own business, all told her that this is complete bogus and that she has to pay me. I guess no one could get through to her because here I am with half of what I should be paid look, I completely understand if somebody is in a difficult financial situation and isn’t able to cough up $40. But I would’ve really appreciated if she had discussed that with me and we could’ve come to an agreement. I really don’t know what to do because I can’t really say anything because of the power dynamic and the need to stay good terms with her, but I really would appreciate my money especially since one of the pieces took over two hours. thoughts?
