Fixing quad track line local track interchange

Fixing quad track line local track interchange

So essentially my map had a central quad-track subway that ended on one end as a quad track line, and on the other end split into two double track lined. The whole system was working well. But when I extended the other end of the line to split into two double quad-tracked systems as well, the pathfinding on that initial interchange broke, and said there wasn't a track connection. I've spent about a billion dollars rebuilding track connections between the two, as well as crossovers. The single track sections are in the right direction, and the express route works fine..

How do we fix these places? Can we?

Is there a point where we have to decide to just demolish these places entirely, or can they be fixed? Of course some can be made walkable and bike-able, but at a certain point we are going to be limited.

Why do socialists want two person train crews?

The Chicago DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) has pushed for 2-person crews on all lines. I know the unions did the same in NY, which makes sense, but wouldn't the Democratic Socialists want a system that actually works for most people? 2 person crews are costly, lowering service elsewhere, and actual transit experts (NYU Marron, for example), are not fans of it.
