Hybrid PaddleBoard

Hybrid PaddleBoard

I see this board for sale at Costco online, Its a hybrid that comes with an inflatable seat back. It looks like it works better for my wife, who's heavy. Also, I think it would be cool to fish instead of my kayak so i can stand up occasionally. Anyone experienced with this? It does look cumbersome and slow to paddle?

looking for a good paddle board bag

I bought a Tobin Sports paddle board last year and this year both straps and zippers are broken, I barely used it, tried to contact TobinSports to see if they would replace it but no luck. Any suggestions on a bag I should buy that would definately work for carrying on back?

Good board for heavyset woman

My wife is pretty thick; she use to like kayaking but finds them uncomfortable now. I would like her to join my on my paddle board outings and starting to think a paddle board that has a seat on it would be more comfortable for her. Or should i search for a wider kayak. I would like to find something thats inflatable

Would I be exagerating if I think Im stronger than people half my age?

Im 64 and can deadlift 450, Bench 250, Squat 350. I do CrossFit on a regular basis, plus I own a 30-acre property that I do all the work on my own and don't own a tractor. I like to call it my Ranch without a Tractor workout!

I don't know anyone close to my age as strong as me but I like to say Im stronger than most people half my age. Would you consider that an exaggeration?

Loosing weight and getting fit in 60s

When I married my wife she was very active and fit. However, over the past 26 years, she has become less active and gained a lot of weight. especially In the last five years, she has barely moved, citing that it’s painful for her to walk long distances due to disk issues in her back. She is about a hundred pounds overweight. This situation has been difficult for our relationship, as she cannot join me in active pursuits and feels uncomfortable going out in public because she dislikes seeing herself in mirrors or reflections.

We have agreed that, despite it being beyond our budget, she can get Ozempic and hire a personal trainer. She has tried Ozempic in the past and was successful, but it became hard to obtain, and she rebounded afterward. I maintain a fit lifestyle at 60 years old because I consistently prioritize working out. During her previous experience with Ozempic, I was concerned because she was spending a significant amount of money without incorporating exercise; I worried that she would lose muscle as well as fat.

I am curious if any women over 60 have successfully turned their lives around by losing weight and regaining some mobility, especially after having refused to follow any exercise regimen in the past few years.

UPDATE: I think there is some confusion here, I do not expect/want her to be my fitness letter , and I never nag her about fitness , she made that clear 20 years ago she doen't want to be told to do anything (however I do regret this because we are in a situation I predicted). Everything Im saying is what she has told me: how miserable she is and wants to change. Im totally on board and I told her if we have to spend or retirement investiments on this lets do it.

Dog Rental in England

Ok this is a silly post, but I saw there are some great long hikes to walk the entire coast of England. I would love to do this one day, but most likely would do it on my own. All the hikes I do currently are on my own with my dog as company. Since its difficult to bring a dog to Europe Im wondering if there might be some way I could borrow/rent someone's dog to keep me company. I know this is a strange request.

Watch the movie or listen to the book first

Im looking for a book for a long road trip and thinking of listening to the books The Iliad and The Odyssey. I've never read the books. My wife really wants to see the movie, so wondering if reading the books first will spoil the movie or vice versa
