Edward I/II Long Cross Penny - Attribution Request
I have a hammered silver long cross penny I believe is from Edward I or II’s reign, and I was hoping you could help identify the mint and moneyer, as I’ve not been able to read the reverse legend clearly myself.
A few details:
• Weight: 1.39g
• Obverse: crowned facing bust, legend reads EDW R ANGL DNS HYB
• Reverse: long cross with three-pellet groups in each quarter, but the outer legend is too worn for me to attribute to a specific mint
I’ve attached photos of both sides, suspect if it is genuine as it’s so clean?
