I mean the announcement was cool, Loki looks awesome, just really wish there was more female characters in the game. There's 2 teams that have an equal gender ratio, but the last two announcements have literally NO women

So yeah I really hope the upcoming characters are mostly female, I know Deadpool was supposed to be the big draw cuz he's popular, he was kinda a disappointing pick for me though since so many more niche characters would've fit way better and I can't imagine they'd be in DLCs either since those will probably still just be more popular characters

I was just curious whether other people were planning on maining characters just because they like them, or if you’ll choose based on the kit.

Pdivided I do get the game, i personally will probably play the characters I like the most (like Magik, Ms Marvel, or Carnage) and just play around with half the roster while ignoring the other half that I don’t care as much about. I mean in Rivals I went purely on play style, but in 2XKO I went just based on character design, then narrowed down my favs to play from those 4 - and I feel like this’ll be similar for me, I don’t want to beat up Peni as Star Lord because I like Peni way more lol

i am really wanting to play everyone in the story, even though im not sure if that’ll happen, just as a main im curious

Okay I know very little about this game, just curious if fans know whether most of the customizable stuff (like costumes) will be unlockable, or if they are planning on having a store/BP for most cosmetics.

Been playing 2xko and has just gotten on my nerves with how insane the prices are so I'd gladly get a new fighting game at full price if it meant I could grind for stuff... I feel like there's no chance I'll want to switch if it's still got 2xko pricing despite adding an additional front payment though (unless it's got some INSANELY interactive storyline or something)

Now don’t get me wrong, I think this game is super fun… I just feel like I’m crazy since I haven’t seen anyone mention this (though to be fair I’m not super involved in anything Riot besides Arcane)

Like I just can’t imagine the system is something that hooks anyone who isn’t already invested in Riot - I say as someone not invested in Riot and it’s kinda pushing me away. I got sucked into Marvel Rivals, but I think what that game does so successfully is tease you with free skins and the idea that you can make back half the BP cost if you buy it. By comparison starting 2XKO the skin bundles are twice the price, the BP gives you nothing to set up the next purchase (and half as many skins), and it tries to trick you with the free grinding currency to get excited just by locking half the characters for beginners. Rivals being cheaper ended up making me spend more while 2XKO is making me want to never spend anything.

So as I mentioned, I think it might be the most fun fighting game I’ve ever played, but as a newbie I gotta wonder how people in the fandom feel about this. Like, am I the only one who feels like it’s kinda pushing me away, or is that a common sentiment amongst the player base? Or do you guys just think I’m crazy and it’s all normal/fair pricing? I’ve just been curious about this since i started and decided not to spend anything lol
