GW's response to Drukhari players: you are going to suffer

An extraordinary article on Warhammer Community, where GW explains to the player base that they know they’ll struggle against the new Space Marines and Custodes, but hope the said players will continue nonetheless to provide entertainment value to their Space Marine opponents until GW gets around to fixing their abysmal win and play rates.

The message: “It sucks. Just deal with it, as we need to ship all those Space Marine boxes—or, even better, just start an army you can paint blue.”

The absolute patronising tone of this article infuriates me. What about you ?

P.S.: It is official. We are now a horde army like the Astra Militarum and the GSC... except our Kabalite Warriors still cost 110pt and we have to pay a transport tax.

Snap shooting does not Crit

It looks like rolling 6s when Snap shooting do not count as Crits. That's good news for us.

Scourges & deployment

I have two units of DL Scourges.

Should I deploy those two units in close proximity to cover the same fire lane to make sure that when I want something dead it dies or should I spread them along my whole deployment zone ?

TTS: playing Drukhari vs. Space Marines on TTS

Could someone tell me what I need to be downloading from the Steam Workshop to be able to play Drukhari vs. Space Marines on TTS.

Idealy, we would like to play Recon vs. Priority assets.

Any help would be appreciated.

Heavy / Fly on Scourges

Has there been a ruling on whether Heavy and Fly stack ?

If I take to the sky using the Fly ability, I can move my scourges to the first floor to get plunging fire while moving less than 3" horizontaly and thus benefit from Heavy ?

The wording of Heavy is unprecise as it mention that the model must have moved less than 3" without specifiying if it is talking about the moved distance as per the rules' calculation (that's where Fly comes in) or if it means the model must not have physically moved less than 3" .

Has GW clarified that yet ?

Force disposition: Reconnaissance or Priority Assets

Which Force Disposition do you think will suit Drukhari better between Reconnaissance and Priority Assets and why ?

Force dispositions

So for the Drukhari, we have

Purge the foe: 4 Detachments
Disruption: 2 Detachments
Reconnaissance: 1 Detachment
Priority Assets: 1 Detachment
Take and Hold: 1 Detachment

Is GW trying to tell us something about our playstyle ?

Our salad eating cousins only have 2 Purge the foe and a metric ton of Disruption

How wil Skari boats fare in 11th edition

Has anybody played with Skari Boats in 11th Edition, and how do they compare?

A Skari Boat is when you take a Venom and load it with all the heavy-weapon Kabalites and an Archon. You hide the Venom behind a wall, disembark the Kabalites and the Archon, spend a pain token, have them shoot, and then scoop them back up with the Venom at the end of the Fight phase. We owe this strategy to Archon Skari, who popularized it.

With the new cover rules now granting a -1 to hit and cover being relatively easy to obtain even on large vehicles, we will often be hitting on 5s. On top of that, the Venom's paper-thin armor can really hurt us when it inevitably gets destroyed.

So my question is: do Skari Boats still have a place in 11th Edition, and how do they differ from their role in 10th Edition, when you wouldn't leave Commorragh without at least one?

3“ disembark move from what ?

Did I get it right ?

In 11th, we will have to disembark / embark 3" from the base of the Raider / Venom unless GW add the « Hull» keyword to their datasheet because in 11th all distance in the game are meant to be measured base-to-base ?

There is a section in the rules about measuring things.

No swinging of a raider around to gain an extra inch.

Rapid ingressing scourges in 11th

Did I get this right ?

Nothing prevents me from Rapid Ingressing a unit of scourges during my opponent’s turn on top of a building.

When my turns comes, my scourges are now heavy and with plunging fire, meaning that they will be equivalent to hitting on a 2+ with a re-roll of 1.

To add cheese to cheese, will they also be hidden on the turn they Rapid ingressed since they obviously did not shoot since the begining of the game ?

In KC, who does the killing ?

I am curious. When you play Kabalite Cartel, where does the attition come from ?
Is it coming from:

- Kabalites warriors hoping in and out of venoms

- Long-ranged disintegrator Ravagers

- Dark Lance Scourges

- Deep striking incubi

- Hellions

I am curious as to who you think is the most killy unit you would not leave Commorragh without ?

I am used to kill things in melee combat using Wyches, Archons, Helions and Talos with a sprinkle of long-ranged shooting by Scourges and Heavy Kabalites. Does it change in KC ?

Shadow field and fast dice rolling for armour saves ?

Did I understand correctly that with fast dice rolling, an archon will be allocated the first roll of 1 you make with your saves ?

How will this work exactly because if you roll a few saves you are pretty much guaranteed that you will roll a 1 which means that the archon will lose his shadow field at the first roll.

That would make the Shadow field pretty useless on a lone archon but pretty powerfull if accompanied with kabalites to soak up those 1s while they live.

Has GW said anything about that ?
