I’m working in a hospital in Hungary as a sebeszeti altalanos orvos, I spoke with my ostalyvezeto today whom told me that I’d need a year of working at this level before he can admit me into the residency program, my question is, would this one year of work count towards one of my 5 years of residency? Or would I spend 6 years in total instead of 5 trying to complete this speciality?

If someone completes their surgical residency in Hungary, is a British citizen, has gmc registration, how likely will they be able to get a job as a specialist in the UK (in 5 years time?) would it be anywhere near as difficult as it was post grad to find a job at junior level?
