But seriously, like a lot of them look kinda disinterested & irritated...

They'll laugh, play games, do bckchodi all fine

But then when everything settles, they'll go back in a cloudy depressive state as if they are abt to be thrown off a $1B inheritance...

What exactly happens ?? Ok one of things could be a relationship, but not every1 right ? Then what ?

And no, apart from acads coz i see this with ppl who even have 9CG, theres that energy of 1st yr missing from them...

1. Academics: So you'll join under the autonomous program meaning the academics here are under BIT's control not like RVCE or BMSCE or MSRIT where its under VTU

So...how is it ?

Honestly its not annoying like in other clgs. Far as CSE and CSE sister branches are concerned these ppl have tried to not include unnecessary BS. Like even in subj like chem & phy they have tried to include the stuff more related to electronics, CS components etc. Its not like 12th chem where we have to study abt BullShit metallurgy or biochem etc.

Even they have cut down Engg Drawing a lot. In IITs, NITs its pretty annoying, in BIT not much and considering its fully irrelevant to CSE, its better not to be studied in depth.

And these ppl have tried to keep up the syllabus with current market trends so not obsolete shit

The academics in a clg are always irrelevant in getting a job here in india, so yeah if you expecting scalar, newton type shi then nope not that up to date but not fully obsolete either.

As far as 1st yr is concerned, its easy, they'll give notes & question bank, the papers will come from them so you dont have to study extra. And if you study just well 10 GPA isnt impossible either. (tho for tht you will have to study from start)

2. Teaching Faculty: A mix bunch. There are good teachers no doubt. Some teach well but are strict in attndnce & class timings wise. Some dont teach well but are otherwise chill so win-win.

If you are genuine & humble they are supportive. trust me it counts a lot. Dont disrespect by showing rebellious nature & being rude and you'll be fine

From what I have inferred, a lot of teachers know stuff but they are bad at teaching & conveying but if you go and personally meet them for doubts they'll clarify it

overall ppl are friendly only ;)

3. Language Barrier : Look if you are northie learn kannada. it will make your life a lot smoother. Yes due to reservations & all, majority ppl are from south but there are north ppl as well. But trust me, a good 96% of ppl will not make ur life hell just coz u dont know kannada. they are pretty chill & understanding

Some Lab attndents dont like non-kanndigas thats it. But doesnt mean they wont help you they are just difficult to deal with...

And No, No one is gonna make ur lyf hell for not knowing kannada, ppl are busy in their own

4. Campus Life: Look theres a metro at walking distance which means access to the whole city :)) /s yeah campus here sucks but thats just how it is here yk

Events & all are also not much. The annual MANTHAN is...well my friends who attend events at BMS MSRIT RVCE etc. say Manthan is very shit, but then again these ppl (clg) try to keep the spirits up as much as they can

5. Coding Culture isnt there on the surface lvl. But trust me unlike some random t3 clg, here a lot of ppl are serious abt CSE & jobs. So you just need to find the right crowd.
