Anybody from Master's in Communications? Have some questions/doubts

So, I'm from India and applying for Master's degree in Communications courses in universities across Australia.

I wanted to know from people who are students here that how is the University, the exposure, opportunities, coursework, lived experience, campus life and specifically for this course.

Also, I might be able to secure admission for Nov26 intake else I'll target Feb27. What would you suggest one should choose as in would it make any difference?

My idea of studying overseas is to grow as a person in terms of knowledge, experience, and exposure. I'm decent in terms of academics [have been told I'll get scholarship and another waiver too], I like doing extra curricular activities and I am generally uo for any opportunity I can grab which seems interesting/fitting.

Is the University a good place to be at and would you suggest someone to go here?

I'm considering other colleges as well but please give me some realistic insights. Education is an expensive investment so I want to know more before I take any decisions.

Thank you.

Need help/guidance in finding jobs after aerospace engineering in UK

Hi everyone,

I am posting this on behalf of my cousin so as to help him with the job search which is very crucial. He is very talented, ambitious, passionate, and dedicated along with amazing achievements due to which his family took on the risk to send him overseas for his master's in Aeronautical Engineering.

He went to UK last year and his course is about to be over with the visa expiring soon after. It is very essential for him to find a job because his field and interests are largely popular as profession overseas + so much investment has been made for the higher education which is weighing on him and his family so in that case scenario not being able to find a job opening is the biggest concern.

I am sharing some details He shared about himself and I would LOVE to connect serious replies with him.

If you are someone who is in that field, owns or employees, can refer or knows of an opening, or any help that you can give that would be a huge blessing.

Thank you 🙏

**i am searching for jobs in filed of aerospace in general . Mostly design related jobs as my masters is itself is in Aircraft Vehicle Design and have a background in mechanical engineering. Also Can work on UAV's as currently I am working on design of propulsion for high speed compact UAVs, where i am seeing a configuration in which tandem EDFs could produce maximum thrust. I also do have a lot of experience in manufacturing and leadership, I have lead major projects from scratch where I built and designed Mars Roves, High powered amature rockets and satellites. So any job in manufacturing/ production is also desirable. I do have work experience of 9 months in supply chain where i managed suppliers, handled procurement, RFQs, while developing QMS side by side. So can work in supply chain environment as well. But would preferably like a job in aerospace field itself.**

Please guide or help if you can.

Looking for fully furnished 1 BHK.

Kind of familiar with areas and localities but not very however I'll try. For solo female to commute to RIICO Mansarovar, less travel time to place of work but safe and connectivity with other places also.

Maybe areas like malviya nagar, near jawahar circle, JLN Marg, mansarovar but the good safe areas etc (please if someone can assist with listing out the areas it would be a huge help, half of the battle is lost in telling the wrong areas)

Looking for a fully furnished flat with basic amenities (1 BHK preferable but might consider 2BHK too) in the budget of 10k - 15k in a safe, secure place and area with decent connectivity. Safe parking space for two wheeler/car.

Not open to renting a room in a BHK with other people. Need independent control of space.

Currently at a place in malviya nagar and the connectivity is good with places like GT, WTP, airport etc. Areas and locality also seem fine.

However the few challenges which are kind of major are the rent is quite high on top of a 12rs/unit charge for electricity and some things are sketchy with regards to amenities etc.

Trying to get in direct touch with owners instead of through brokers because past experience hasn't been very pleasant and we'd rather directly approach the owners which is in interest of both parties.

Please help us out. Thank you very much.

TIL Jaipur is a tier 2 city.

While it doesn't matter ALOT but to a significant extent it does hence why the tier wise classifications for cities exist.

I moved to jaipur this week from a tier 1 citg to be on my own while pursuing an opportunity. Boiling down months long discourse around this entire situation of moving places which is still ongoing internally, I searched today and discovered that Jaipur is a tier 2 city.

Recently I was talking to my parents that Jaipur is the CAPITAL of rajasthan, a state that not only attracts domestic but international tourists too with a very vibrant culture and history. It's the largest state in India, lies on the golden triangle of tourist destinations which includes Delhi and agra, among so many other things.

Yet, yesterday I struggled to find a store like Reliance Smart/Fresh where I could buy groceries as well as other household supplies since I was short on time and has restricted mobility to travel.

Google maps showed a Fresh Signature in GT/WTP area and that it was open but upon reaching found that nothing like that existed nor did anyone know about it including parking attendants who mightve been here for some time. I asked locals if there was a similar type of store nearby as it was getting late and I needed miscellaneous things so going shop to shop searching markets wasn't possible.

This is just the beginning of it.

I've been thinking long and hard about documenting my journey and experience for a variety of reasons but right now I'm taking my time.

On a side note: tell me the best, affordable, safe to go solo places for getting things ( you can mention shops, markets, stores etc). Right now i need to get vegetables and fruits which will continue to be a requirement then i want to get pots for plants. That's off the top of my head.

We'll see how this goes.

Any female students here who own a cycle in campus? Need suggestions

Need suggestions from female students who have had a cycle to commute within campus.

What product models have you used and how was your experience? Which one would you recommend based on your own experience or knowledge about anybody else's?

Looking to gift a cycle to my sister for commute within campus as walking can sometimes consume alot of time amongst other reasons.

Needs to be low maintenance and basic usage of going between hostel, lab etc.

If it can be upto 5k or around that figure.

Thank you

Need suggestions for a cycle for my sister

So my sister studies in an Institute which has a very big campus and while she prefers to walk, the distance can often be too much and time consuming.

I am looking to gift her a cycle next month so I want your suggestions in helping pick a good product.

Previously we've owned Hero bicycles etc but that was as kids and the last one i had was a dead investment which had more repair costs than purchase price.

What would be a good budget cycle for a female in 20s that would be low maintenance and inexpensive?

I don't have much idea how much Cycles really cost but if it can be upto 5k that would be great as I will be purchasing it as gift from my first stipend. Otherwise also please tell me what to look for, what would be the most easy ride and comfortable. I mentioned gender because the seats etc could be something distinguishing I guess.

She is kind of tall and lean so needs to be comfortable in cycling. The distance to be travelled would be between hostel to lab or within campus. Maybe maximum sometimes she might take it outside for morning cycling or something.

She's concerned about rash driving by delivery drivers etc within campus which is why she deciding against purchasing earlier. So I guess any safety mechanisms or add ons or you all can tell me what can be done for more protection? Good breaks and gears I guess (but don't think a geared cycle is really needed).

Thank you in advance.

It would be amazing to have amenities like swimming pool.

Maintenance, electricity, gas, water if they can be included or how does one go about it.

I need guidance as well as leads for the same. On a tight budget where I want to wrap up all the costs within 15k.

Please guide and help. Would be amazing to do it brokerage free.

Please don't cheat. University is going to be very strict this time around.

The University is being VERY strict about UFM this time around and colleges are also taking strict measures to ensure it's not happening but then if the flying squad (why even this name) catches you, you're done for.

As a 4th Year student, our principal was personally going to each room and telling final year students to recheck and be safe before exam begins so nothing untoward happens.

And for those of us who don't intend on cheating anyways, fir bhi savdhaan rahe satark rahe surakshit rahe.

Thode marks kam aa jayenge atleast fail toh nahi hoge ya degree toh nahi delay hogi with a bad record.
