Help with bumble profile photos

Im having decent success on hinge but poor results on bumble, just 4-5 likes a day. From what I understand picture 4 is by far the most popular and I don’t like it. Is there any picture I could add or replace to change the focus to my hobbies, face or fashion sense (I tried with pic 2). For reference im not a super looking guy facially, normal I would say).

I appreciate the feedback.

Research on Continuous Learning in financial fraud

I have this topic to work on suggested by my academia and Im very unsure on how to even start. The topic is continuous learning for mitigating concept drift in financial fraud systems.

This is what I’ve gathered so far from my research:
- Concept drift alone can’t be singled out, it also depends on intrinsic covariate shift and label shift
- Concept drift can be modelled as an exogenous variable and endogenous variable, depending if we assume fraud is reactive to mitigating strategies)
- Blocked transactions introduce inherent label shift, because transactions that are blocked dont make it to the dataset
-Continuous learning is a very tricky topic, specially if we consider this as class incremental learning (new fraud types arrive sequentially without explicit task boundaries) and admit non stationary regimes

Because there are a bunch of topics and covariate factors, approaching this as an empirical study looks like a massive headache.

Can anyone help me to structure my next steps and how I can tackle this problem with a clear picture?

Data engineering Lisboa/Porto

AI is making consulting worse, not obsolete

People say AI will be the end of consulting but I see the opposite. Consulting firms are relying more and more on AI to do the technical stuff where no one knows shit about what and how are they building stuff and clients are buying more crappy solutions.

I actually see AI benefiting the business model of consulting firms and I can see a world where corporate bullshit takes over because suddenly you don’t have to grind so hard im technical details.

Im also under the impression that most of the people im both client and consultant firms aren’t technical at all. Thats why it’s a shit show, there’s no right and wrong only egos and those who cry louder.

Do you think AI will make corporate and consulting even more insufferable?

Rolled of during probation

Hey everyone, using a burner account for obvious reasons.

I’m a data consultant at Deloitte (EU market) currently finishing up a double Master’s degree in a technical field. I'm also still in my 180-day probation period.

I was staffed as the sole technical resource on a chaotic data product project with volatile priorities (communication does flow up, didn’t have much support from my senior I was very much independent, deadlines weren’t looking good and we were redesigning the data architecture mid implementation). Specially my workstream was the worst, very technical, lacked FTEs, I had to guess what the roadmap deliverables and scope where. I was just watering down fires and the project had barely started.

I was managing it until the final exams started. Because I’ve been completely drowning under the final crunch of my university exams my communication and visibility slipped. I missed a critical client presentation meeting because I didn’t align scope with the sponsor (the communication wasnt flowing up) and then I had an exam conflict and couldn’t attend the next meeting. The client blew up at leadership, and I was immediately rolled off the project.

I messed up big time, my manager and partner explicitly told me to focus on the data product and I tried to talk with the client what was more important: the data product or FTEs analysis. They told me FTEs but didnt move that info to the project sponsor so I had nothing to show in said meeting and it was my fault. I tried to be dynamic and proactive and it just backfired me so massively.

To make things more complicated, my Manager is close personal friends with my Career Coach, so the narrative is already heavily stacked against me. My performance currently looks like 2 averages and 1 below average this period.

My Master's wraps up completely in 14 days, and my capacity will finally be at 100%. But right now, I feel completely burned out and paranoid about getting fired before my probation ends.

How bad is my situation regarding immediate termination on probation?

Small rant

I understand I made a big blunder and that I had to take some time off for the exams but I don’t understand the kind of feedback I got. I just got roasted massively and took the blame for everything. Including some posture in the client office thingy which I don’t get it. And apparently everyone on the senior part of the team agreed I was a liability which is heartbreaking if true. I couldnt tell.

I don’t understand how 1 month ago things were looking good client was praising me and today it’s like im the worst person. They say it’s not personal but it’s 100% personal. The only positives they mentioned was my technical ability, my easy going/likeable person and ambition but that iany worth much
