“Pata hai aaj kya hua?” I matched with this girl on a dating app and the conversation got weird really fast. We had barely talked properly when she suddenly started insisting that she wanted to come over to my place. The way she was texting felt off and honestly a little unusual. I’ve used dating apps before, but I’ve never had a conversation like this.
I told her I wasn’t comfortable with it and tried to slow things down, but she didn’t take it well at first. Her tone completely changed after that, and then she suddenly said she was “just joking” and that she was “testing” me. That confused me even more because the whole thing didn’t feel like a joke at all.
Now I genuinely can’t tell whether I handled it right or completely fumbled the situation. But one thing’s for sure; it was definitely one of the weirdest experiences I’ve had on a dating app, btw this was in Bangalore.
