Safer alternatives to Vanguard FTSE All-world?

I have a savings account paying 4.5% a year.

I‘ve started putting / moving money into T212 … mainly the VWRP fund (Vanguard FTSE All-world)

But I’m wondering if there are safer options that significantly outperform 4.5% … currently VWRP is heavily weighted towards US and Tech stocks … which makes me slightly uneasy despite the 20%+ annual returns in recent history at least

Thoughts / alternatives?

thanks!

Should be fun delivering a 10mi walking round every day next week 🤔 😢

what are the changes to working practices other than ‘take water and look after yourself’ !? I’m actually quite worried about it especially Wednesday and Thursday when it’s going to be 33C+

Postie GPS Metrics using Strava etc

Posties: Does anyone use Strava or similar on their phone to track their speed, distance, and moving vs stopped time ?

I really struggle to do more than 50% of second class mail (assuming 100% first class and approx 60-65 tracked packets) on my 4.5h round

This is a new round for me admittedly but after 2 days of doing it my stats (based on doing 50% mail and all first class and parcels) are

- Distance: 13km (8mi), approx. 18000 steps

- Max delivery points: about 800. But I'd guess on an average day with 50% mail it's probably around 300 (?)

- Average walking speed: 4.3kph (~2.5mph)

- Moving Time: 3 hours

- Stopped time: 1h 40m

- Total: 4h 40m (I'm on a 6 hour day which includes 1h or so on redirects, scanning, bundling, and loading up in the DO and probably 20-30 mins at the end doing any reframing etc

What are the thoughts / comparisons ... especially on walking pace and any tips on getting the stopping time down (parking/locking/opening the HCT, preparing the loop parcels, loading the bag, delivering parcels, delivering mail, ...) ?

Short version:

Is there anyone on here with experience of creating software app that integrates with TacX Neo 2 smart trainer?

Longer:

I've been laid up with a bad back for 3 weeks.

Meanwhile I've been playing about with writing software to integrate with indoor trainers, over Bluetooth to combat cabin fever

I've run into a stumbling block. Which is I struggle to find the spacebar on a keyboard. Just kidding ... it is in fact that ...

I can get it to read the power coming from the trainer (I have a TacX Neo 2 Smart) but can't get it to read the cadence properly.

Aside: also my AI assistant tells me the Neo 2 Smart doesn't support receiving requests for ERG and resistance changes using the standard Bluetooth protocol ... that's another issue I need to investigate further down the line

Is there anyone on here with creating software app that integrates with TacX Neo 2 smart trainer that may have advice or willing to chat in the comments?
