Voice memo transcript from a religious uBPD mother

My mother was diagnosed with manic depression in the '90s and was medicated for a time when I was very young. Her behavior meets the DSM criteria for BPD, and it would explain a lot of our toxic dynamic.

Context of this transcribed voice memo:

I've been receiving job listings and insurance company requests to connect addressed to my mother for over a year. They coincide with a nasty separation/pre-divorce from eDad. When she's in a manic state, it's not uncommon for her to make digital mistakes like inputting the wrong contact info.

I kept ignoring these messages until an insurance rep called me asking for her to talk about the "final expense" (funeral) benefit she inquired about. Because she voiced suicidal ideations to me as a late teen, naturally I assumed she's contemplating it again given her marriage is dissolving.

So I compiled screenshots of all the times employment agencies and insurance companies reached out to me trying to reach her, and I attached them to a brief email politely asking her to 1) stop using my email and phone number on her internet searches and 2) stating I would ask law enforcement to conduct a health and wellness check on her house if I received another call from insurance about final expense benefits.

And this is the voice memo my husband and I got in response. As if her condition isn't bad enough, layer that on top of pious religiosity and a touch of vulnerable narcissism. She's insufferable.

Cat Haiku:

Elegant, pretty

Kitty. I got him for you.

Discarded again.

What’s the history of this offertory call?

Can former Bethelites give any background on this manipulative offertory call?

Where did this come from? Is it read every gathering in unison?

Ways to give $ to Jason & Lauren Vallotton

Last Sunday's sermon featured these two. Seems like money is tight.

Jason married his daughter off the week prior and said he "saved a bunch of money. Somebody else is paying for her now." (1:10:00)

Lauren said five financial miracles happened in one when they received a refund check from their mortgage company and a notice their monthly payment would decrease. (1:07:40)

Here are ways to sow into the next generation of Vallotton revival catalysts:

Attend Jason's Braveco nonprofit gala: $50-$10,000

Go fishing with Jason in Alaska: $4,000

Buy Jason's Moral Revolution courses: $5-$799

Join Lauren's Podcast Support Group: $173.20/month

Buy her book when it comes out

Buy access to their 6 week marriage intensive: $500 in 2024

Revisiting Bill's "Sabbatical" Timeline

which was planned to start after he preached in Redding on May 17.

But as of February, he had been scheduled to preach in Sri Lanka on May 17 (before he was dropped from the lineup).

His four-month sabbatical will include at least three other speaking engagements:

Kingdom Business - Canada, June 25

Bethel Music Worship School - Redding, July 13-17

Southwest Believer's Convention (Kenneth Copeland Ministries) - Fort Worth, July 28-31

>This sabbatical has been planned for over a year, with a focus on rest, renewal, and making space for my family.

Make it make $ense.

Kris V's 2024 compensation according to Form 990s

Lest anyone think it's pure speculation to say Bethel senior leaders are filthy rich.

Remember, this total does NOT include his paycheck from Bethel Church. Churches are exempt from filing Form 990s by law, so their staff compensation is opaque.

Ready?

$598,405.00

Breakdown:
Bethel College (BSSM?) - $236,470
Bethel Media - $258,863
Kris Vallotton Ministries - $103,072

Also, Jen Johnson, you LIE. Bethel Church, Bethel College, Bethel Media, and Bethel Music are all related entities according to your own tax filings.

These forms are public records and can be viewed on ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer. For anyone smart on tax forms, please let me know if I made a mistake interpreting the data.

*Edit: According to Ministry Watch, Kris took his quarter mil from Bethel Media while it was in the red that year. Priorities!

More heretical sexual innuendo from the pulpit, courtesy of Kris V

From Kris' second talk at Awakening Church in Germany (3/29/26). YouTuber Richard Moore covers the entire evening.

Listening to this is my penance for ever having given Kris or Bethel writ large the benefit of the doubt. Kris is a bad dude. Whole talk was heretical drivel. But this snippet begs to be shared.

>2:38:00 "There are a lot of people walking the earth, and they're carrying the [prophetic] word. Jesus said the sower went out to sow the word. So we went out to sow seed. And the seed was the word of God. The word seed is the English word sperm, and we get our word sperm from it. Think about it. There are a lot of people who got a prophetic word. It's a seed. It's like the sperm of God. They carry it around in their wallet, in their purse..."

>"I'm pointing out there are a lot of people infected with the destiny of God that need to be catalyzed with the womb of the dawn. [yes, you read that right] I'd like to point out that this church is becoming a womb where the seed can come into the womb and be given birth..."

>"I came to [Awakening Church] and it's like the sperm and the egg suddenly had a baby. This place became the womb of the dawn. Where the people came here and were birthed into their destiny."

Full-throated condemnation of Silk's Unpunishable from Charismatics

It's taken a minute, but good to see leaders in the charismatic camp finally refuse to mince words about the danger of Danny Silk's book, Unpunishable.
