WIP: Philippine market scene, watercolor + acrylic

Working on this market scene piece, mixing watercolor with acrylic for extra depth in the shadows and produce colors. Still figuring out the layering.

[REQUEST] Need a little help spreading the word about my work

Hi everyone! Since this community is all about helping each other out, I was hoping to ask for a small favor to get some eyes on my small art business.

I’m currently balancing my coursework as an architecture student—and saving up to fund my final thesis on atmospheric water harvesting—by doing traditional watercolor portraits and pet paintings.

I recently launched a mid-August promo on my Instagram, and I would love some help getting it out there!

How you can help me out:

  • Share/Repost: If you know anyone who loves traditional art or is looking for a personalized gift, I would incredibly appreciate it if you could share my Instagram link with them!
  • Advice: If you know of any other active subreddits or communities where small artists are allowed to advertise their commissions, please point me in the right direction.

And of course, if anyone here is interested in a commission, I'd love to paint for you! I'm currently offering A4 size portraits at a heavily discounted rate to build my portfolio and save up for school.

(Note: I am keeping this post free of direct personal info to respect Rule 1 shown in the subreddit sidebar! Please just DM me or reach out via IG.)

Balancing architecture studies and a side hustle: Seeking marketing advice (and offering my watercolor commission promo!)

Hi r/negosyo! I’m hoping to get some insights from the business owners and side-hustlers here. I am an architecture student based in Cebu, and to help support myself, I run a small side business doing traditional watercolor portraits and pet paintings.

I recently launched a mid-August promo on my Instagram, but I want to expand my reach beyond my immediate circle.

My questions for the community:

  • What are the best local platforms or strategies you’ve used to find clients for niche services or traditional art?
  • Has anyone here had success running small-budget Facebook/IG ads for commissions, or is organic reach in specific groups better?

Also, I want to extend my current promo to anyone in this community! If you are looking for a unique, personalized gift for a client, a portrait of a loved one or pet, or just some custom art for your workspace, I would love to work with you.

Here are the details of my ongoing promo:

Thank you in advance for any marketing advice, and please feel free to reach out if you'd like to claim a slot!
