I'm fortunate that I can find cashmere semi-regularly where I live. I unraveled several sweaters and dropped them in a shopping bag as I went. The bag was full so I washed them all and then had to figure out how to dry them as I usually just hang them over the curtain rod. There are three skeins per hanger. (The purple is a sparkly acrylic for toys.)
Was at the magnificent National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Amongst the amazing airplanes and stories of bravery, I was surprised to find this exhibit. It’s from a WW2 German POW camp where downed American airmen were held.
Will I ever knit anything from this? Unlikely.
Will I look at it occasionally for some nostalgia? Oh yeah!

My event planner/decorator extraodinore sister (66) passed away 3 weeks ago and we're throwing a backyard bbq in her honor. Very casual, bright colors (black is prohibited), a couple silly lawn games and remembering her. It's only friends of hers whom we know, maybe as many as 40 and I'm sure they'll come and go. We're renting tables and chairs (no linens). There will be a funeral later in the year.
I don't have my sister's skills in the decorating department, much less planning a party, and am hoping you fine folks can help me zhuzh it up on a semi-lmited budget. 🙏

Is this a mistake?
I have a couple extra Honeycomb cherry tomatoes and quickly planted them into hanging planters yesterday. Now I'm worried it would be a mistake to try growing them in smallish containers like these. Summers are 90+ and they'd get full sun all day. Will they just curl up and die?
I can't remember how long he stayed this way but I will confirm he wasn't just in the process of jumping down.
I live in western Colorado - very arid, raised beds with (finally!) good soil, zone 6a, don't often get below zero temps, hot summers (90s+ from June to Sept), full sun from sunup to sundown.
I've tried growing rosemary to keep as a perennial but haven't had great luck. One year I mulched a plant well and it survived winter, but not the next. One year I had it in a big ass pot near the house but I think the summer sun + radiated heat was too much. Last year I planted one and it was well established by the first frost. Mulched that one too and we had a mild winter/early spring (hello drought), but it was dead as a door nail when I finally pulled it last week.
Am I doomed to having rosemary as an annual? Any tips or suggestions?
