Jay Johnson continues his torrid pace in the portal with the transfer of Freshman All American OF Angel Laya from Oregon.
Hit .296 with 14 HR’s, 47 RBI’s and 10 doubles for the Ducks.
Per Baseball America’s rankings, this gives the Tigers the 2nd (Watters), 3rd (Hood) and 6th (Laya) ranked transfers in the individual portal rankings.
Still could use some LHPs but I imagine Jay has maxed out his funds.

Hood: 78 Ks and only 21 walks with a 2.65 ERA last season in 54.1 innings.
Baseball America had him ranked as the No.2 Player in the portal, regardless of position.
Park: hit .301 with 13 homers, ranked as the 37th prospect for the 2027 draft, an exceptional defender.

Struggled to hit SEC pitching. Hit .243 with two homers in 30 games. Only appeared in one game after April 24th in a pinch hit role.
