Got as change
First <10,000 serial in a long time, & my first true flipper.

First <10,000 serial in a long time, & my first true flipper.
Went through a damaged box of nickels today, finds:
- 14 1940-1949 nickels
- 15 1950-1959 nickels
- TWO Buffalo nickels, 1923P & 1937P
- 6 Canadian nickels & 1 Commonwealth of the Bahamas nickel
- 1961P Proof nickel, first one pre-mint switch to San Francisco
Went through my first strap of $2s (brand new strap with different runs of consecutive serial numbers), and found a repeater in the mix (one of 3 bills in the 3225322X range), along with a star note.
After yesterday's box having solely customer returns in loosely wrapped bank rolls, I got another today, & it was productive. Finds:
- 19 1940s nickels
- 22 1950s nickels
- 1929P Buffalo nickel
- 2 1939P nickels
- 5 beautiful 1960s nickels, (1962, 1963, 1967, & 1969)
- 2000 Canadian nickel
- 2000P toner nickel
Got that in change from a nickel box pickup, only my second found ever.
The very last roll of my third straight dime box (previous two were skunks) produced a 1936 Mercury dime out of Philly, and a 1964 Roosevelt dime out of Denver.
Picked up a box of dimes today, as I was transferring boxes I noticed a lot of older enders (including some 1960s), hopefully that's a good sign.
After nothing but Mayflower quarters, I finally got something different. As to where I found it, I got it from a Chase bank in Manhattan, NYC.
1 roll of halves provided two 1967s, & ironically the roll in question was brought in by a different customer 2 minutes before I showed up.
5 rolls of half dollars yielded one NIFC, a 2005 out of Philly.
4 rolls of quarters yielded one silver quarter, a 1963D.
Opened a box of pennies and noticed a 1953 & 1959 end coin on the first two rolls, hopefully that's a good sign.
Assembled a full quarter box, hopefully there's good finds throughout.
Got one customer wrapped roll & it yielded 3 steel cents, one from each mint.
Was assembling a quarter box (no finds for them), & got these three bills in addition. The $5s were stuck together like crisp bills tend to do.
