The creative process of software building shouldn't be constrained by tokens

Had prompted an agent a few times and right in the midst of it generating code, the token limit was reached. This way of building software sucks. It's like running out of gas while driving or cooking before reaching the destination or before the meal is cooked. When anyone gets into the flow and creative process of building a software, they shouldn't have to worry about how much money is being sunk into building the software. It's an iterative process with many refinements needed, especially when the LLM can't understand context well enough and there aren't good enough tools/techniques to help communicate the context. We really need a more economical way of running coding agents on our own computers with cheaper RAM and GPU's. Perhaps even with solar power.

Lost interest in upgrading phone after seeing the 6+ inch phones and AMOLED screens

I still may need to buy a phone because the existing Samsung J2 with Android 7 is quite old and the battery may bloat within a year. The max I could tolerate is a 5.5 inch screen, but getting it within a budget of Rs.12K seems an impossibility now. Was trying to avoid Chinese brands (just found out that Motorola is owned by Lenovo which is Chinese), and so Samsung, and Lava appear to be the only ones available in this budget but both are 6+ inches big. Samsung has AMOLED screens for which I keep seeing online comments of the green lines. Lava may not have as many OS updates and security updates as Samsung. Am I wrong to assume that Chinese brands may have privacy or security issues?

Is it worth waiting for a year to upgrade? I know prices may increase due to the RAM shortage, but I don't want to be stuck with a long 6+ inch long phone. I'm hoping at least some manufacturer would offer a 5.5 inch long phone because plenty of people are complaining online about long phones. I wouldn't mind if it was a slightly thicker phone, but not so goddamn long as more than 6 inches. I'm not using the phone for gaming or anything. Just normal low power use. On my J2 phone Firefox and a few other apps are no longer available on Playstore.

2026 opinion of durability, budget, size and security of Android smartphones?

My first priorities are privacy+security, small phone size and a budget phone. Could you help narrow down on one? It's next to impossible to find a 5.5 inch phone. Why did manufacturers choose to build 6 inch and almost 7 inch phones that don't even fit in the pocket? As for data privacy and cybersecurity, whether it's a Chinese brand or American brand or Indian brand, which phones have safer hardware and software? I can't spend too much so it has to be a budget phone in the price range of a Samsung F22 for example. Also, are the AMOLED and Super AMOLED screens reliable (green line issue)

Malleshwaram felt like such a nice place because of the trees

Every time I go to Malleshwaram, I feel there's something about the place that's nice despite the roads being narrow. I realized that it's because there are so many trees and plants everywhere. Long ago when I spoke to Dr.Yellappa Reddy who I think was part of the forest department, he said that when planting saplings, you need to consider: 1. Native species because they are better suited to the soil and more resistant to disease. 2. Purpose: If it's saplings at the sides of roads, plant species which are known to help reduce pollution (some trees naturally reduce certain harmful gases and help reduce the spread of dust).

It would be nice to have more trees and plants everywhere in the city.

How to open cooker lid stuck due to misalignment?

Pressure cooker lid stuck

After cooking food and removing the weight and lid, the person removed the weight and put the lid back on with the gasket still within the lid. While turning the handle to lock the lid in position, it got misaligned and stayed stuck as you can see from the video, the way some parts of the handle are above the lugs and some are below. This is a Prestige 4L triply cooker. We tried applying some vegetable oil, tried dipping the lid portion only in boiling water, tried dipping the cooker body in boiling water, tried pouring more water into the cooker via the vent and tried heating the water to see if the rubber gasket would become softer due to heat and open. Tried applying dish wash liquid along the edges of the lid (that's what chatgpt suggested), tried removing the screws of the lower handle to see if it would make it easier. Kept the cooker in the fridge, but none of these loosened the lid. Tried lightly hitting the handle sideways with wood to see if that would loosen it, but even that didn't work. Given that the person who got the lid stuck like this is a 70 year old woman, I'm surprised the cooker was not designed to prevent such a misalignment. Has anyone here got the lid stuck and un-stuck and has any tips? Or is the only solution to take it to the authorized service center? Would they be able to open it without damaging the cooker? How?

Availability of jackfruits at the mela?

May I know the per kg price of jackfruits (of each type) at the mango and jackfruit mela at cubbon park? A google search is just giving a generalised result. Also if jackfruits are available in any other mela or wholesale market near fun world or any such place. It would have been nice if it was available at retail stores for reasonable prices like Rs.30/kg.

I have a 5.3 inch x 2.7 inch phone with an easily removable back cover. This itself feels too big in the pockets of my formal pants and jeans. It does not even fit properly in the pockets of my pyjamas. On considering buying a new phone, they all seem to start at 6 inches or more in size. Many of them have multiple cameras jutting out of the body and many have back covers or batteries that cannot be removed easily. If there are any phone manufacturers on this forum, could you consider making smaller phones and adjusting the software to be displayed in such a way that a 5 inch phone size would suffice? How is everyone coping with such massive phones? And isn't the un-removable back cover troubling you? When my battery started bloating, I was able to spot it easily because it pushed the back cover and I could change the battery before any danger of it leaking. Even when the phone gets too hot or if I need to remove the SIM, it's so much easier to have a removable back cover.

On a side note, I often wish there were more modular phones which could be upgraded with parts that fit like lego pieces. And phones with Kensington slots that allowed wrapping a band around the wrist so that the phone can be saved if it falls off near a water body.
