Bad roll?

Recently took some 5MAPB and had an awesome time. My friend said she took some molly at a concert and cried on the come up but ended up having a great time still. Is it possible to have a bad roll given the neurological effects of MDMA or 5MAPB? As long as you don’t mix I don’t see how to have a bad time please share your experiences?

5MAPB concerns

TL;DR: I took 5MAPB but the research shows it could be very very dangerous so I shouldn’t do it again. Thoughts?

Just tried a plur shot before a Rufus concert. It contained 100mg of 5MAPB. I’d only ever done shrooms so wasn’t sure what to expect. Sufficient to say the experience was a lot of fun, I really really loved it.

The issue isn’t with the experience but with the data on 5MAPB. This molecule causes a proportionally larger release of Serotonin, Dopamine, and norepinephrine than MDMA by weighed.

According to in Virto animal studies:

“5-MAPB exhibits an EC_{50} of roughly 64 to 90 nM compared to MDMA's EC_{50} of 200 to 640 nM, making 5-MAPB approximately 2 to 3 times more potent at SERT [release of serotonin]”
2)
“MAPB displays an EC_{50} ranging from 41 to 459 nM versus MDMA's EC_{50} of 1,000 to 3,000 nM, representing a 3 to 10 times higher potency for dopamine release [DAT]”
3)
“5-MAPB shows an EC_{50} of approximately 24 nM compared to MDMA's EC_{50} of 200 to 600 nM, rendering 5-MAPB roughly 8 to 10 times more potent at promoting norepinephrine release”

While 5MAPB doesn’t trigger the release of alpha-methyl-dopamine (a neurotoxic byproduct of MDMA) it still causes the release of massive amounts of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Additionally it’s shown a higher affinity for hyperthermia in Vivo studies.

Lastly, based on MDMA data we know it’s possible for people to only be ever take MDMA 1-5 times for irreversible damage to long term memory to take place if it’s taken at high even doses. We can extrapolate to the conclusion that 5MAPB can cause similar damage.

The point I’m trying to make is that I had a lot of fun, but too much fun. The issue is that I’d love to do this substance once more but I’m worried about the effects it might have. Additionally because it causes such a strong release of norepinephrine and dopamine, the risk for physical dependence could be much higher than normal MDMA.

Conclusion: Ultimately we should all do our own homework prior to taking drugs. The one thing we will always have with us during our lifetime is our brains. It makes sense to take care of them and to try to only do what’s best for them. This was my fault for not researching prior to taking the drug, I take responsibility for the damage I might have caused. But I can see myself getting addicted to this molecule and for that reason I shouldn’t do it again.

Please let me know if anyone has similar findings or has spotted any errors in my claims? Thank you!
