Do not want to include my first job on my resume as I did not leave on good terms (no misconduct). But I’m in a sector where background checks are done stringently. Can I just leave it out of my resume? Or will a future employer be able to tell through CPF contributions, credit checks etc that I have been employed before?
Received a letter of termination. No cause stated. Definitely didn’t engage in misconduct. No poor performance issue shared. When declaring this in future employment forms, want to share that it was not performance or misconducted related, but employer said that they would share that I was terminated for no specific reason and stop at that. Unable to leave this off resumé as it was quite a substantial period of time employed. Is this a major red flag for future employers? What exactly do I declare?
