Body Recomp vs Weight loss first?

I’m 5’6” female and pre covid I was always around 160-170lbs. During covid my max weight was 210lbs…

I’ve always been pretty active, I have a physical job that has me walking 6-8 hours per day.

Last year I got married and decided to start recomp at 205lbs from the advice of an online trainer. From January to May I worked out 3-4 times per week, lifting heavy and cardio from my work. On my wedding day I was 185lbs and still felt fat, even though I was visibly leaner with muscle definition.

Post wedding I got back up to 200lbs because that all at once lifestyle didn’t really work for me and caused burnout.

I’ve been creeping around these subs and realized I maybe should have lost weight prior to recomp? I restarted and I’m currently at 182lbs from a calorie deficit and walking. My question is ideally when would be the right time to start recomposition again? I would like to slowly start incorporating weight training, this time in a healthy way so I don’t burn out.

I’m the sole caregiver to my disabled mother, and this has really opened my eyes to the use it or lose it mentality.

Any advice is welcome 😊

💫 May Empties 💫

This was my first month really trying to use old products up!

My OG’s are the PanOxyl spray, Versace Dylan perfume and Oribe Shampoo.

None of the other products really stood out to me!

I was 41 days binge free….

Long story short my mom is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, and had an episode this evening that was extremely traumatic. I have been doing so well after starting Zoloft and Wellbutrin, and finding comfort in different places. But tonight after I got home I couldn’t help myself and ate a whole pizza (started on the car ride home because I couldn’t even wait)

I’m disappointed, sad and frustrated that I let myself do this after such a long streak.
