Why are my AOS Supernova motors getting hot?

Why are my AOS Supernova motors getting hot?

Hi,
I have a 7-inch quad with AOS Supernova 2807 1400KV motors. The quad flies perfectly fine, but I noticed the motors get noticeably warm after a flight. They’re not too hot to touch, but they’re definitely warmer than I would expect.
I also have another 7-inch quad with a no-name stack and iFlight XING 2806.5 1300KV motors, and those don’t have this issue.
I tried changing various AM32 ESC settings (PWM frequency, timing, etc.), but nothing made a difference. I haven’t touched the Betaflight PIDs or any other tuning—everything is still stock.
What’s even stranger is that the motors heat up fairly quickly even without props when running them in the Betaflight Motors tab. I checked that the motor screws are not touching the windings, and the motors are practically new.
To rule out the rest of the setup, I installed my old iFlight XING 2806.5 1300KV motors on the exact same quad. They stayed cool, even during the same Betaflight motor test.
What could be causing this? Could it be the ESC, or does it sound more like an issue with the motors themselves?

AOS Supernova 2807 1400KV heat issue

I’m trying to figure out why my AOS Supernova 2807 1400KV motors get warm on my 7-inch quad. After a flight they’re noticeably warm to the touch—not burning hot, but definitely heated up. They also warm up surprisingly quickly in the Betaflight Motors tab at around 30% throttle with no props. I’m running a Holybro Tekko32 65A ESC with AM32 using stock settings, and I’ve also tried changing various AM32 settings (PWM frequency, timing, etc.), but nothing made a difference. As a test, I put my old iFlight XING Unibell 2806.5 1300KV motors back on the exact same setup, and they stayed cool. Any ideas what could be causing this?

What could cause a capacitor’s legs to snap?

What could have caused the capacitor’s legs to break off at the top? There was no crash or impact. The capacitor was simply lying on a piece of double-sided tape (it wasn’t firmly attached). I only noticed something was wrong when I moved it and realized it was loose.

Could vibration alone cause this, or is there another likely explanation?
