Info about MTech PhD Program in IT

I am interested in joining MTech PhD program in IT at IIITA and might be getting an offer in round 2.

I only see people talking about placements and branch preferences at bachelors level. Anyone here who is actually doing PhD or this dual MTech PhD?
I am not so sure about which sub domain I wanna join so I have listed all 3.

Do they allow switching? How are the professors? Who are the friendly ones as a supervisor??

Whats the average time taken to finish this??

How is the MTech in Climate Science and Technology . I have Gate Da but very low score and getting this branch as of now in round 5.

IITM BS student in Data Science . Not exactly into coding or software jobs. I like mathematics and statistics . Getting the climate science offer. can hold and wait for same branch at iit hyderabad but its a risky gamble.

Kindly elaborate and describe work and internship opportunity . Also good LoR for foreign PhD. How challenging it is and how helpful are the professors?

How are the placements also?
