A new theory because Hoyo doesn't feed us: what if Mitya is yet another Rhinedottir's creation?

Mitya's coat is covered with gems of different colors. Their colors represent almost every element of the seven. Maybe he's actually an alchemist too and study elements and gnoses.

Mitya's color is golden. So these are my thoughts: what if he represents one of the stages of creating Magnum Opus? Here is my theory. There are four stages:

– black (nigredo) – evil Albedo, his nature is evil

– white (albedo) – the Albedo we know, he even named after it

– golden (citrinitas) – Mitya. Citrinatis is the stage where one can turn copper to gold, which coupled with his possible alchemy skills might be a hint of him being another Rhinedottir's homunculus

– red (rubedo) – Durin. He is a perfect life form combinating good and evil. Even one of his constellations has the name «Draco Rubedo»

So maybe Durin and Albedo have one another sibling

I think Mitya attended Sumeru academiya

Here's why i think so

  1. He is a scholar obviously (and a top one) so he probably studied in a well known place. Maybe he was an exchange student in Sumeru from Snezhnaya

  2. His golden ornaments on his cloak remind me of Sumeru, especially their uniform, Snezhnaya jewerly is more petite

  3. His cloak has a starry pattern so he's probably an astronomer, and Sumeru academiya has a star researching faculty (the one layla attended to)

What do you think of Mitya's home region?

All other characters in the trailer have some features showing they're from Snezhnaya: fur, silver eyes, elegant jewerly. Mitya kind of stands out, like he's from somewhere else

In the 18th-century Europe, peasants' clothing was still remaining national traits, while outfits of noblemen and scientists were standardized all across the Europe

And Mitya surely looks like a person of upperclass, with his jabot and cape. So I think they invited him from another nation, like Sumeru or Fontaine with their universities, or maybe he was an apprentice of another great scholar. In the 18th century Russian emerors had been actively inviting scientists from German and other European countries, and Mitya's origin might be referring to this

But then how important Mitya is? In other regions all the elite were all local people. But not only Snezhnaya scientists invited him to their country, they granted him access to the state's most important projects like Krestnik torch

What do you think about it?

Just my thoughts: what if Pierro and Puncinella want to recruit Mitya as a new Fatui harbinger

It's my idea on what might happen. I think mitya looks like a neutral character. And he seems like an important and powerful person.

His cape has gems that resemble almost every element, so maybe he is rearching gnoses, the seven or the world formula.

His color palette resembles other fatui members: Pierro, Pulcinella, Pantalone and also cicin mages.

Also, we have used to the old cast and seeing a new member joining the harbingers will be refreshing.

And finally, he looks handsome with the fatui coat on.

Ny theory: Mitya and his possible connection to Mikhail

I have many theories on Mitya and this is one of them. I have some ideas how Mitya can be connected to Mitya.

Hoyoverse often makes similar characters in their games, like Bronya Rand from hsr and Bronya Zaychik for HI3, or Raiden Ei, Raiden Mei and Acheron. So Mitya can be an alternative version of Misha in Genshin world

There's some clues:

– similar appearance, fluffy purple hair and a vintage suit

– they both have Russian names

– they both are scientists

So here's my theory on their connection. Misha from hsr is a manifestation of Mikhail's memories. So Mitya could also be a manifestation of someone's memories.

Mitya has stars pattern on his cloak and maybe his collar is not an atom, but actually a solar system, so mitya might be an astronomer. And stars in genshin world contains memories of all people in teyvat, their past and future.

Fatui had already performed an experiment on stars in the 1.1 event. So maybe they tried to bring memories of someone important to life

my theories on what his golden collar refers to

  1. a molecule or magnum opus. as many of us pointed out, mitya is probablly a reference to dmitriy mendeleyev. if so, he is an alchemist too. maybe he is even a creation of rhinedottir or dottore

  2. the tree of life and death. in that case he has some connection to the seven, because all the archons and paimon are named after jewish archdemons, and the tree of death contains demon names as well

  3. a constellation. maybe mitya is astronomer and research divination and fate, continuing the fatui experiment on stars, for example the one in the 1.1 event
