Coach too busy micro-managing to actually manage
Rec cheer - grades 3 - 6. Not competitive, and so far no stunts or tumbling (just cheer/dance). Officially just for fun. They will cheer at a few Saturday morning pee wee football games next month.
THREE posts in a row about exactly how their hair should be. No flyaways?? They're performing outside in the summer heat for parents and grandparents.
I am managing multiple children's extracurriculars in multiple parent communication apps. No time to sift through this nonsense.
Meanwhile, the actual important info on the flyer does not even include a specific location. The auxiliary gym (where we have never previously met as a group) could be at least 2 different places. Not to mention this org is technically county-wide, which includes 5 different school districts
So plenty of people who are potentially unfamiliar with the host district campuses.
But we're meticulously detailed on the ponytails.
What to gift pool owner
Our neighbors asked us to pool sit for them next week, and we get to swim whenever we want, which our kids are very excited about. We want to leave them a little thank you.
The neighbors are retirees with young grandchildren who also live in the neighborhood.
Pool owners: what items or services would make a nice thank you gift?
Our neighbors asked my family to "pool sit" for a week while they're on vacation, which is really a gift to us because we are allowed to use the pool as much as we want.
They are retirees with adult children, and young grandchildren (who also live nearby). Looking for suggestions of a thank you gift.
Guest brought undisclosed dog
Basement apartment inside our home. We charge a $50 pet fee. Having a dog myself, and knowing what it costs for dog sitters or pet boarding, I feel the fee is extremely reasonable.
Cleaning up after the guest who left yesterday (and did not register a dog), I found dog hair on the rug, against the couch, and the blanket that was on the couch. We had a quick turnover, and we were hosting some family yesterday for a bday party, so had I been expecting a dog, I would have enlisted a helper.
Overall, the place was left in great shape, but anytime there is a dog, I do extra cleaning - washing couch covers, vacuuming upholstery, etc., even though dogs aren't supposed to be on furniture. I was really cutting it close to get it ready for the next guest.
The problem is, I can't definitively prove it. We have exterior cameras, but we can never see the dog, which was likely being toted in a bag. After unloading in the early evening, they were gone until 9:30 PM, and left around 7:30 AM, avoiding the need to walk the dog in our yard (we also live across the street from a park, so dog could have easily done business there before getting onto our property).
She has already left me a review, which I expect to be positive (she left a message saying, "everything was perfect".) I'm afraid if I confront her, she will change her review. I'm afraid if I leave a negative review, she will deny and report.
Leaning toward no review. Wwyd?
