How We Made Thousands from Direct Outreach Instead of Freelance Platforms

How We Made Thousands from Direct Outreach Instead of Freelance Platforms

For a long time, we believed freelance platforms were the only way to get clients online.

So we competed with thousands of people, lowered prices, sent endless proposals and waited for replies that rarely came.

Then we changed one thing which is direct outreach.

Instead of chasing jobs on platforms, we started contacting businesses directly, and the results changed our business.

In this 2026 guide, I break down how we used direct outreach to land high-value clients, build relationships, and make thousands outside freelance marketplaces.

If you’re tired of competing on Fiverr and Upwork, this is worth reading.

Where Can I get a good Desktop?

For the past few days I’ve been looking for a desktop for light work.

I’ve browsed through most ecommerce stores and I am surprised by how negligent many of them are. Some cross copy products from other websites mpaka wana acha jina ya wenyewe hapo. Hawa ni wale watoto walikua wanacopy mpaka majina za wenyewe kwa exam.

Around 80% of them will lead you on knowing very well they do not have the product, instead of just being straightforward and saying it’s out of stock.

I wonder whether these stores ever take time to update the products on their websites. And if they can’t handle something as basic as keeping their listings accurate, it raises doubts about how well they’d handle customer needs after purchase.

Atp I would appreciate recommendations from anyone who has bought a reliable desktop from any of the stores recently before I decide to source a new one.

Why You Need to Speed Up and Secure Your Website Using a CDN

Most Kenyan ecommerce websites are painfully slow.

Products take too long to load, pages freeze, and customers leave before they even reach checkout.

Meanwhile, the few online stores that load fast are winning more trust, keeping shoppers engaged longer, and making more sales.

Speed matters more than most businesses realize.

And it’s not just about performance, website security matters too. A vulnerable site can lose customer trust overnight.

A CDN can help solve both problems.

If you are not sure whether your website is slow, try testing it using free tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Pingdom. If your pages take more than 3 seconds to load, there’s a high chance you’re losing visitors and potential customers.

In this 2026 guide, I break down how a CDN helps ecommerce websites load faster, improve user experience, and stay protected from common online threats.

If you run an online store anywhere in the world, this is something you shouldn’t ignore.
