Widow's Bay give me silent hill vibes
I just started watching Widow's Bay on Apple TV. It gives me Silent hill vibes, the reference "the fog is coming." The town has a lots of Silent Hill Townhall vibes.
On first episode, but seems very interesting.

Dear fellow Scholars, it is my pleasure to announce that, i have secured a seat in phd in a good University.
A step towards new life.
Any advice though?
It's been more than a year now, I completed my masters, and it took me a year to clear the test for the national PhD exam. Now I am applying for different universities, but I've been rejected by all of them so far. I'm in a place where at 1 am I am writing this, just so someone reads it.
After the rejections and being at home for more than a year, I feel useless. It feels like I'm falling behind. I get irritated easily, and for the past few weeks I've been watching my peers get into good universities, institutions, or jobs, and I think the problem is me.
My sleeping is messed up, and I'm using porn as a way of escape. I'm trying to be consistent at the gym, but instead of going in the morning like I used to, I drag myself there in the evening and do it half-heartedly. I waste my whole day either playing video games or just watching something on YouTube, and then I feel guilty at night.
I can't look my parents in the eye anymore, and sometimes I get irritated when they give me advice. It feels like I'm behind an unbreakable wall, and I'm afraid I might go to a mediocre college and not do anything good with my life. I'm worried I might stay the same.
The reason i never committed to Epic store was because of its poor stutter and feels like whole app is running on 30fps. meanwhile steam is very light and smooth, and easy to navigate.
Well i opened the Epic app today and its working smooth, like magic. Yes it is not as responsive as steam but its great, it's working smoothy and it is not taking a toll on my eyes.
My epic game store seems to be working on 30fps or something. It's not smooth at all, stuttering. Anyone facing the similiar issue or can provide me a solution?
Thank you.
