So basically, I propose that longer videos can afford lower metrics than shorter videos. For example, let's just say for the first month, the hour-long video has 6% ctr, 30% Avd, and 15% rentention at the end. and compared to a shorter video that is 12 minutes long and has 8% ctr, 50% Avd, and 30% rentention. Well, normally most people would think the shorter performed better because of superior metrics,s but no. The longer video performed better because it provided YouTube with more watch time, which in turn made the average viewer stay 3x longer than the average viewer of the 12-minute-long video. In my personal experience, I've achieved 100k views with a 33-minute-long video with 7% ctr, 8-minute avd and 15% end retention. I've also achieved 55k views with a 12-minute-long video with 7% ctr, 5-minute AVD, 30% end retention. sSothe difference in watch time is apparent, but the longer video ended up doing better and brought in more revenue obvi, ously.

ttdr: making longer videos is the Meta, and also keep the quality and know the genuine interest in the niche.
