Just bought, is vanilla worth playing?

I come from a ton of other strategy games (eu4, vicky 3, total war empire, etc) and got interested in medieval 3 from random yt videos, I've seen the mods are amazing, is it worth to play vanilla or should I just install stainless steel?

Silver was completely fine

I don't get the nerfs, like even last week she was at 3 pick/ban, and in soloqueue she has never been a menace other than holding like 50% winrate in eternus+ (literally average)

On a positive end I do like the changes to her clear speed, I think all her abilities should do 2x damage to camps, but why was her shotgun nerfed? human form already felt kinda bad and they even nerfed her movespeed in wolf form, also nerfed slowing bullets in the same patch so like where's the fun now?

Morocco is a joke now

Coming back to the game from release and they completely broke the balance in the region, Morocco is not a threat anymore and you can get a ton of land from them even if you don't occupy their lands with the Gibraltar claims event.

Their levies don't even have the slightly superior quality that they used to have from my brief encounter but even then Castile has 54,000 levies vs 14,000 at most from Morocco.

It should challenging and costly to invade Morocco for Castile, like how come I occupy land in Gibraltar and nothing else and I'm able to completely fuck their northern borders + war reps and money?
