Will crowds be very different Friday vs Saturday in late June?

Was planning to come on a Saturday, but if it will be meaningfully better to come on the Friday instead, I can make that work. Merci!

Sorry for second post but forgot to add – would love an over the top fondue experience in Switzerland. Does not have to be fine dining per se - would love a recommendation.

One night in Dublin, which happens to be my birthday, is kicking off a two week trip that includes a few nights in Western Ireland, Copenhagen, and then more than a week in Switzerland. I am not as on top of bookings as I used to be!

For Dublin, I booked a reservation at Chef's Counter at D'Olier Street. Chapter One looks fully unavailable. Liath hasn't opened yet, so I might be able to snag it. Variety Jones has us waitlisted (they had a table at 5, but we are going to spend the day in Belfast. We are landing that morning so will also be exhausted, as is my wont). Should I settle on D'Olier Street or try for Liath, or am I missing something altogether?

For Copenhagen, I decided not to try for Alchemist. I booked Sushi Anaba, which we have already been to, but am thinking about Sollerod Kro instead. We did Jordnaer last time. Kadeau is booked out.

Switzerland looks like not the most exciting destination, food-wise, but I am open to suggestions. We will be all over - Geneva, Lausanne, Annecy, Grindelwald (and the vicinity), Lucerne, Zurich. Open to reasonable train trips for dinner as long as there is a way back (no car). Would love some suggestions!

I’m planning a winter break trip with my teenager to Belgium and Amsterdam. I’m trying to decide where to spend New Year’s Eve, taking into account how much their would or would not be to do during the day on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day themselves. Any thoughts on Amsterdam versus Belgium and if Belgium, which city to be in? Whichever one I pick for New Year’s, I’d be in the other one around Christmas.

Actually, as I flip through the calendar, it shows no more than a few days available between now and January 1. Can that possibly be correct?

Basically the same situation at the Regency. Either the system is messed up or everyone booked it ahead of devaluation. I guess I’m late …

Thinking of winter break in Belgium and Amsterdam and trying to figure out which would be the most fun to spend NYE in? We were in Amsterdam for a whirlwind 30 hours last summer and did see the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank’s House and the Rijksmuseum … we definitely could benefit from a more relaxed visit to the Rijksmuseum, but aside from that, we won’t have to worry as much about museum closures for holidays in Amsterdam.
