Who are the real weirdos of comedy? Don’t necessarily mean what they talk about(although I’m mo saying no to that either). But more so I mean who are the stand-ups that truly beat to their own drum? People so unique and different up there that you couldn’t even guess their influences. You always hear older comics talk about how the “weridos” were forced out. So who are they?

I’m looking very heavily at 5 different grad programs as I could submit the same materials to all of them. Is that too many? Especially since 4 ask for letters of rec. is that too annoying for my professors who have said they would give me one?
