Openchamber is actually pretty good.

Ok ok, I know we have seen the seemingly fake openchamber hype posts, but it worked enough for me to get curious and to get me to try it. Long story short, its pretty good, even a little too good for the fact theres not a lot of people talk about it. Dont think of it as a "replacement" for opencode, I still use my opencode that runs on my server, all openchamber does for me is give me native android/desktop GUI interfaces that actually work pretty well. Before, I was using opencode PWA V1 (now V2, which is better, but not amazing). And the good thing is that you literally dont have to start over your opencode configs and models, as it is literally plug and play, and you will still keep all old chats natively. Pretty clean and slick interface. The only thing I DO NOT like, and it might be just a wrong config setting somewhere, every time I open up the application the model changes back to Big Pickle, even though DS 4.1 is default. Very minor, and wouldn't even classify that as an inconvenience.

All in all, impressed with how seamless I was able to integrate openchamber, and how well its working.

Trading in the Ninja Luxe

Hey, just wanted some opinions if I made the right move. Me and my wife had the Ninja Luxe Cafe, and boy, let me tell you it was ok on its best days. I actually had 2 entire united get replaced under warranty (which each took like 2 months each time, thanks Ninja), and our 3rd one didnt last a year, but it sucks since the warranty was only 6 months for that one. (Brewer issues, grinder problems, pump, etc.)

Anyways, after some research and looking at reddit posts, its pretty reasonable to assume Delonghi is one of the better brands, especially considering a super automatic is what we were leaning towards. The Ninja came out with their super automatic, but I wasnt gonna roll the dice on another bad experience. Ninja offers a year warrabty and Delonghi offers 3, which kinda shows you how confident they are their machines will last. And, since my wife is from Italy, shes happy to get an Italian brand because "theyre superior".

I actually ended up getting the Magnifica Duo ($850 USD), which checks all of our boxes, because we were also thinking the Eletta($2000 USD) was good, but its more than double the duo for what I assume is not double the quality. Now, problem is I have yet to see a good review or video I can find on the Duo. Do any of you have any experience with this unit? Ours is coming, but just curious if there are any quirks or hidden features I should expect. How is cleaning? Thanks.

Loose wires cost $20k

I need some advice on a major issue with an HVAC company. My 25-year-old AC stopped working recently. I got several quotes and went with a company. They charged $20,000 for a full system replacement. That was about five thousand higher than the other bids but they promised premium service and high quality work.

The installation was actually pretty messy and they left machine screws scattered in my driveway, left tools around that my daughter was playing with, and left insulation everywhere. The worst part is the brand new system was completely dead right after they installed it.

Before I agreed to buy the new system, I told the technician that the AC kept tripping the breaker, about 5 minutes after the condensor kicked on, but blew really cold before the breaker tripped. The inrush and running amps were in manufactures range too, which I have photos of. I even sent him texts and photos of the tripped breaker. He told me, after a "full diagnosis" that the breaker was definitely not the problem and my whole system was just mechanically dead. I trusted his diagnosis and financed the entire replacement. When the new system failed to turn on, we found out the exact same breaker tripped again. Another technician came back out to get the new unit running. He found that the wires going to the breaker were loose. I called the original tech and he admitted over the phone that he made a mistake and it was an oversight and the original problem was just a loose wire the whole time.

They basically sold me a $20,000 system when all I needed was someone to tighten a loose electrical connection . The law states that they have to perform a full diagnosis before hand and I DO NOT have to pay for your mistaken misdiagnosis and especially an issue I pointed out to them. I have timestamped texts proving I pointed out the tripping breaker before the sale. The only complication is that I already signed the completion documents for the financing company before the technician admitted he misdiagnosed it. How should I handle this and what are my best options for handling this. They offered a mere $1k off and gas lighted me saying "Oh, that system would have died eventually". In california by the way.

OpenAi/Claude 5.5 API Cost: ~$250 Deepseek V4 Pro Max: ~$9

So I have been really testing out Deepseek V4 Pro Max (Through OpenCode), and I can say it is about as smart as Codex GPT 5.5 default. One thing that really puts Deepseek a little behind is the lack of vision (and before you say it, yes, I am using a cheap vision model, Mimo 2.5, but still, two apis are easier than 1). Anyways, I wont move back to either Codex or Claude, and im somewhat impressed with Deepseek. Even if you dont like the responses, or arent as "smart" you could send 10-20x the amount of requests, and it would still be cheaper and no doubt get the job done.

$769 Snapmaker U1

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you guys know if you check your email, there might be discount codes that work on top of the current 10th anniversary sale, making the price of the snapmaker U1 only $769! I just purchased mine 3 weeks ago, and they say there is a 30 day price GUARANTEE, so lets see if they honor what they say they. Anyways, this is probably the best time to pick one up if you haven't, and if you were on the fence about picking between flashforge, this, or even the upcoming Creality Klitek, this price blows all of those out of the water and makes the choice easy. (This is not a sponsored post by the way, just informational)

Max4 and new Qidi Q2 interface.

I was just watching youtube videos of 3d printing content, and I just happened to see someone with a Bambu Lab H2D printer, and I couldnt help but notice their printer screen UI. At first, I thought "How can they have a Qidi printer but it say Bambu Lab?". Then I realized, the interface on the Qidi Max4 and the new one for the Qidi Q2 is literally a copy and paste of the Bambu lab interface. No wonder why it looks visually good, but works terribly. They managed to copy the looks but didnt stop and realize if they should actually test it and make sure it works. Smh.

I dont plan on gaming on the laptop, but I want it powerful enough to do some decent CAD, maybe some video editing on the go, and other things like this. I also want to prioritize battery life when disconnected, but able to really work when plugged in. I have a great desktop, a 5070ti, i9 14900kf with a 360mm AIO, where I do all of my work, CAD design, video/photo editing, development, and game occasionally, and want the laptop to be just usable to do this work when im not at my desktop. I am either thinking of a laptop with a great NPU as in the AI Max 395, (similar performance to a dgpu of a 4060-4070), or getting an i9/ultra 9 laptop with a 5060/5070.

Just ordered Snapmaker U1!!!

Just ordered the snapmaker U1. I initially ordered the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro due to HARDWARE seeming more impressive (included chamber heater, filter, higher max temps), but after more research and figuring out Flashforge is almost Bambu 2.0, with them wanting you to use their slicer (and it not even being on linux, which I run exclusively), and you cant even monitor the print through fluidd without going through THEIR cloud, I decided to cancel for something more open source friendly. Now, since snapmaker U1 doesnt have the enclosure until November 2026, just gotta wait on it to print ABS and stuff, but im happy waiting. Super excited!

Canceled Flashforge order

Well, unfortunately as cool as the Creator 5 pro hardware seems, it seems that the software is not going to be up to par. After much research, considering I should have did this before, knowing that Flashforge was so locked down, and its just insane that their studio, which they require you to use, is not even available on linux?! Insane. Well anyways, canceled it and ordered the Snapmaker U1. Wish all you creator 5 owners the best of luck.

Flashforge Creator 5 Pro

Just placed the order for the Creator 5 pro, with the $100 air shipping (Im impatient and can not wait). Do you guys like the printer if you have received it yet? I planning on either replacing and selling my Qidi Q2 with Qidi box, or do you guys think I should just keep it and use both? Heres a picture of my latest multicolor print on Qidi Q2 (took 52 hours)

Qidi Q2 quiet upgrade

For those of you that want to upgrade your Q2 and make it DEAD silent when its off, because I hate the fan noise being constant, upgrade the power supply. It only took maybe 20 or 30 minutes, and works easy. All you gotta do its unbolt the other one, match up the wires on the new power supply, and mount it. Heres the link for the upgraded power supply.

Its super super easy, it might seem kinda overwhelming at first, but just make sure your printer is unplugged fully, and just match the wires onto the new power supply, its really that simple. Once it was connected, it turned on and was quiet.
