Where to park extra cash $$? Moomoo or Choco finance?

This money is not for high risk something low risk (like emergency funds) but at the same time you want it to be above 2%? Any recommendation or SYFE?

I am by no means rich by reddit standard, just earning median or even below median income. Not rich enough to quit but not poor enough to stay in my job getting burnt out.

Thankfully, if i do quit i have a roof over my head. Thinking if worse case scenario i cannot find a job i will rent out one of my room.

At this point, getting through the day is getting increasingly tough. I realize that i may have bowel issue not sure if it's attributed to holding in my pee due to my work. As the caption already says, im not sure if i should just ride out till next year's bonus and quit or quit end of the year after getting my AWS.

Lately workload has increased, everyday feels like i am going through the motion and fire fighting. Been in my COY for 3years+ and the urge to just quit w/o a job is very strong.

Is anyone going through something similiar? I have reached a comfortable place in my coy but i am just getting increasing amount of workload. Will it be foolish to just quit and take a break from being a coporate adult? I have no dependents atm and i have some savings to last 1yr.

Happy tgif. Is anyone taking a career break now? Or considering to go for it? Curious to know how long was your career break and did you go for it after hitting some milestones i.e financial milestone, age, family commitments?

What was your push factor for taking the break? The thought of taking a career break looms over my head but in this economy i'm scared the break may last longer than i plan for like 1yr.

What would you define as lifestyle inflation?

If i have saved up and hitting a milestone in my life i.e networth/promotion/birthday, is it okay to buy something or would it be seen as inflating my life?

Media keeps preaching don't be like Bob who lives pay check to paycheck even though he is a high earn but i disagree. Although yes Bob should watch his spending but he actually has achieved other forms of enjoyment i.e eating good food, owning luxurious items, travelling to exotic places so i don't see why is that painted so negatively?? Money can earn back so is okay to spend and reward ourselves right???

When does it cross the line that it is LIFESTYLE INFLATION?

Would you take the risk and pursue something you enjoy or stay in your comfort zone?

Assuming you don't have any dependents except for paying for mortgage. Would you leave your cushy albeit boring 9-6job to pursue a 180 path that may not earn as much but you have interest in?

Passion does not pay unlike a FT job with AWS/yearly bonus/CPF etc. What is a sign to look out for before taking the risk or should it is just wise to stick to stability because at least i know i can continue to fund my holidays and occasional indulgence.

Anyone knows what is the reason for the sudden spike in the market? My portfolio suddenly shoot up, not complaining but i'm just curious what is the reason for this surge?

2nd question is would you cash out your profits and trim your portfolio? I feel that i should just hold because even if i do cash out, i do not "need" the money and even if i redeploy my profits from the stocks, am not sure if it's smart to put it into a safer place like cspx?

On the verge of burnt out but no balls to quit.

Been considering leaving my job for quite a while but seeing the feedback here about the job market is scaring me. I am not sure which is worse staying and just feeling like i have no soul or be unemployed for who knows how long. I have never been jobless before so it is terrifying to not know when the next paycheck is coming.

Coming here to seek some encouragement and motivation to push through another year until the next round of bonus (at least)...YR2027 (crawling)

If you can choose, which business will you venture in, product or service based business?

Which is a better option and challenge for product and service based? I find product business might be better compared to service because there is less man hours involved if you can successfully sell off compared to service. Correct me if i am wrong or right..

Nowadays layoff is getting more and more common in SG and around the world. Are you prepared for it? What will you do if you suddenly have news that you will be laid off?

will you immediately go into panic crisis mode and start looking or take a few months before searching for job? Personally i have 11 months of my take home salary saved up just in case.

So recently i opened my brokerage app and saw that i can lock in some gains. Currently don't have any huge expenses ATM. My monthly expenses can be covered by my salary so is it a good idea if i take some out and keep as profit?

If i take out i don't have any real need or things to buy but yet if i leave it, i scared that it might miss it and the stock price might drop. FYI this is not a speculative stock so foundation is quite solid.

Tldr: Should i cash out my profit or continue to hold for potential higher gains?
