This was found on a tributary to the smith river in Del Norte California. It looks a little different than the other green rocks around, with long thin green crystals.

Found in Del Norte County, Northern california. I didn't take these, as I wasn't sure what it was at the time. Now Im wondering if I should go back haha.

Found in Del Norte County in Northern California, along one of the creeks feeding into the smith river. We spotted several of these but none had a flower blooming.

We were hiking out on the little bald hill trail from Howland road today and came across these weird ribbons tied to trees. Some of them seemed to mark little side trails people have walked, others were just on the main trail. I didn't notice any with writing on them other than the one in the photo. Is this something the forestry service does? What are they marking?
