[F4F] 48F, Toronto, EST... here we go!

I know you are out there, and maybe, just maybe, you come across this message so I'm putting it out into the reddit-verse..

Even though I lead a full life, I am truly missing that special, most important person - my partner in crime and life.

If you're out there and are reading this, I can't help but wonder if you feel the same way too. Not because anything is wrong, or incomplete in your life, but because somewhere out there is a person whose absence you notice in the spaces where connection should be.

I am based out of Toronto, and ideally looking for someone who is local or at least "reasonably" close. I do believe that connections are not limited by geography, so if something in this post resonates VERY strongly with you - feel free to reach out.

I am a cis female, 48, and generally would describe myself as a chapstick lesbian (insert equivalent term used today!) I have an established career, and have worked hard to get where I am. I am hoping to meet someone who is 38-58. I am generally attracted to other soft mascs, chapstick gals and femmes. But more importantly I am attracted to genuine kindness and authenticity. Knowing what you want and doing it or going after it is important. Being able to have long conversations about anything and everything is something that I truly crave. I would generally describe myself as a homebody, but I like to travel, try new restaurants and go to concerts as much as I enjoy a quiet weekend binging great TV and ordering in.

I believe in constant growth and lifelong learning and like to think that while we're currently living separate lives, we're slowly becoming the people we'll be when we finally meet.

Until then, I hope life is kind to you.

Are older single lesbians actually content?

I want to start off by saying that I am genuinely curious and want to understand this viewpoint better - so please, I write this with the utmost respect for how different we all are and respect for personal choice.

I am 48, been single for a couple of years now, intentionally for the first year and a half to focus on me after a particularly challenging few years. I have attempted to rejoin the dating world a couple of times, but quickly retreated back to my little comfortable space. One thing I noticed is that many of the women I connected with stated in one form or another that they were content being single. Some even said "it's a good thing I enjoy my own company". I have come across several posts on reddit where the same sentiment was expressed. My question is:

- is it that you are not interested in meeting someone or have just become ambivalent over time? Is it because dating is difficult these days?

From someone who wants to share her life with someone, it is difficult enough meeting women, never mind later in life, don't further deprive our dating pool unless you truly are not interested in being with someone.

48(F4F) - Toronto - looking for my person

I am going to give this one more shot because it's Pride and while most are probably busy planning their activities for the month, perhaps the woman I am longing for is reading this because she too is searching.

I am almost 48, would describe myself as a chapstick lesbian (or equivalent term used today). I have a successful stable career, spent too many years in school, and my life from the outside seems great. Except that I'm missing the woman I would like to share it with.

I am a tech geek (not a gamer unfortunately), love reading, the water, traveling, discovering new restaurants, great thriller TV series, and chatting about everything and nothing.

I am looking for someone real. Kindness and loyalty are essential for me, as is being serious about finding your partner in crime to share your life with. I'm not looking for anything casual or just chat buddies. Having drive and ambition, valuing education or learning and being independent are important for me.

I initially wanted to limit this to my local area (the GTA), because I prefer moving to meeting irl when the time is right and being able to see each other regularly. But I realize that Reddit is not very conducive to that, so so I'm a little flexible about geography, but not looking for a LDR that drags on for too long.

If you have that sense that someone is missing from your life. Not because anything is wrong, or incomplete, but because somewhere out there is a person whose absence you notice in the spaces where connection should be, feel free to reach out.

P.S. please be realistic about any age gap, I don't really have a specific physical type, I don't really care how you identify, but I'm afab, and looking for the same. I am looking for a relationship with someone who wants emotional, romantic, and physical intimacy.

P.PS. thanks for reading this very long post!

Virtual message in a bottle

Maybe this washes up on your shore. Maybe it gets lost among thousands of other messages. Either way, I felt like sending it.

In a life that can sometimes feel increasingly predictable, perhaps one of the few remaining mysteries is finding a heart that feels familiar before it is known. Meeting someone for the first time and somehow feeling as though you've known her all your life.

Sometimes I miss you in moments that aren't meant for missing anyone at all. A beautiful view. A quiet drive home. Small moments that make me wonder what it will feel like when you're no longer a stranger.

And sometimes I wonder if you feel it too—that sense that someone is missing from your life. Not because anything is wrong, or incomplete, but because somewhere out there is a person whose absence you notice in the spaces where connection should be.

But I like to think that while we're living separate lives, we're slowly becoming the people we'll be when we finally meet.

Until then, I hope life is kind to you.

P.S. The woman throwing this bottle into Lake Ontario is 48F and lives in Toronto.

P.P.S. I promise I don't actually throw bottles into bodies of water.

47[F4F] Toronto. Looking for my person.

Here we go!

47f living in Toronto, looking for hopefully my future partner [F4F], but open to making some meaningful real-life connections and friends along the way.

About me:

- very independent, ambitious, established professional.

- monogamous, no children because life worked out the way, but totally open to those who have/want children

- I am a life long learner, enjoy reading, concerts, and traveling when I'm able to.

- drama-free and averse. Optimistic to a fault (90% of the time!)

About you:

- live in the GTA (or reasonably close).

- Kind, loyal, emotionally available and serious about finding your partner in crime.

- Not afraid of commitment.

- curious about the world, have a career that you at least enjoy or like

- have a positive outlook on life (in general)

- single, monogamous, not attached in any way

- Age range: 40-55 (flexible within reason)

I have a busy career so I'm not looking for friends to chat with online or a LDR. It's difficult enough meeting people these days, so let's please not waste each other's time. Thank you.

If any of the above resonates, please reach out!
