They really undersold how little sims like anyone with the overachiever trait. Unless I’m good friends with someone (thankfully I got the incredibly friendly reward trait so i made some good friends already and through clubs), ANY friendly interaction I try doesn’t go down well. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know the social bunny trick. How does any overachiever make friends without the reward treat?

So my sim’s friend invited her to the romance fest. Her lawyer to be exact. So I chose to bring her child and another friend thinking it could be a cute little outing that surely didn’t HAVE to have romance happen…. And surely I could control my own sim….
Welp.
First, the only thing you had to do for a successful event was kiss someone… I thought that was a little risky but it said ANY kiss social would do so I thought the family kiss would do it. Nope. Oh well. I figured she’d just have a bronze night out. No biggie.
Well I didn’t realize what the sakura tea did. And my sim drank some. And then she met Lavina the mayor who was there with her husband…. my sim’s fiance, Johnny Zest got off work and his work rival was at the fest I i desperately needed to get their friendship up so Johnny would stop being so tense, so o invited Johnny to come and I figured PERFECT’ she can kiss Johnny and get the gold night out… and she did so… and then she flirted with Lavina. And Johnny was livid and still is. I managed to get their relationship satisfaction back up but he still gets the angry moodlet when he’s around his fiancée… also, Lavina’s husband got pissed and threw a drink in Lavina’s face and caused a huge scene. It was a disaster. I’m curious if they wind up divorced soon because of this.
I had my sim make Johnny an alabaster bracelet so he’d chill the hell out. Things are back on relatively solid ground. Well, until Johnny got abducted by aliens the night my sim gave birth to their second child. Oh, and my sim is an alien. So, there’s extra salt in the wound. Now Johnny is scared of being cheated on and my game glitched out and wouldn’t get over the fear even though he talked with her about it three times and he’s scared of the dark and he’s mad at aliens.
The power I feel. I evicted the Landgraabs and bulldozed their house and am going to be building a trailer park in its place.

IRL I am an animal lover and have a rescue pit who I adore so much… however, when it comes to the sims I’ve never been interested in pets. Pets in TS3 was the last EP I got because I wanted Appaloosa Plains and I only recently got pets for TS4 as well as Horse ranch. I’ve still yet to play with any pets. I only briefly played with chickens and llamas and then had a mortifying experience placing a huge farm from the gallery and immediately having all the adorable lambs and chickens die as soon as I loaded in because they were all old I guess when they were put on the gallery and I immediately closed and deleted that save because I was so sad…. In TS3 I did discover the great stuff dogs can do when it comes to hunting for collectibles. Is there similar game play in TS4?? I have no interest in playing with the Vet stuff because I can’t bear even a pixelated pup being in pain but I did discover you can turn off pet aging. So all that to ask, what is it you all like about having pets in TS4? Other than companionship and cuteness. My sims are
Always galavanting about the worlds and I don’t want to leave my fur babies at home alone for long periods of time. Idk, I’m way too soft hearted for any animals. Even virtual ones.
I am newer to building and I love making extremely bright over the top tacky and kitschy builds…. Right now I’m working on a duplex for a bachelor on one side and a bachelorette on the other.. the plan is they fall in love or they hate each other. We’ll see… I haven’t gotten the bachelorette’s side done and the exteriors are still a work in progress and I’ve done no landscaping but I just gotta share my dude bro bachelor duplex. He’s got his own in home gym upstairs and a ping pong table downstairs. He’s gonna be a party boy. She’s gonna be a quieter, creative type so she’s getting a big hobby room instead of a gym. The shared space in the middle is bare bones but has laundry, grill, a hot tub, and vending machines and then there’s a little communal garden.
So I have a sim named Viviette and she started to date Kiyoshi Ito (he’s a young adult at this point) and he proposed to her AND then asked to move in all in the same minute… when they woohooed I noticed that it said Viviette was woohooing for the first time but not Kiyoshi… so when I got him moved in I looked in his memories and I saw no evidence of past woohoo, no romantic with any sim, and no memory of an abduction and yet there was a memory for him having a baby…. That wasn’t in his household. The baby was an alien so I thought surely it had to have been an alien pregnancy but then Viviette and Kiyoshi hosted a dance party at the narwhal and in walked this alien chick with the same last name and blue skin as Kiyoshi’s baby. Story progression is always chugging out babies in all the different unplayed households but I was surprised to see that he doesn’t even know the mother of his own baby. What’s the deal with that?
So Kristopher Volkov just showed up to my Sim’s doorstep pregnant. Do alien pregnancies happen autonomously in other households? Granted I did watch Skip Broke get abducted by aliens in an old save while participating in Love Highland but I never saw the result of that. Has this happened to anyone else?
So, i thought Judith Ward’s choice in husband with Dustin Broke was interesting, now i come to Moonwood Mill tonight to blow off some steam and it looks like Layne skipped out on Olive… literally…. he skedaddled and got hitched to Skip. I suppose Layne SKIPPED the Coffin this time… ok im done. They look adorable together though.
So in this save, Judith married someone with the surname Doty (I apologize, I just got a BUNCH of the packs and haven’t familiarized myself with the townies of multiple worlds yet)…. my sim invited Titania Summerdream over so she could take some fashion photos of her and to hang out. While doing so, I see this woman poking her big ole head over the bushes. Can’t tell if she’s envious of the good time Astra and Titania are having or are plotting their demise. I suppose it could be both. In the words of someone who commented in my last post where Judith had married Dustin Broke in another save, “Judith just be doin shit…” and she do. She do be just doin shit.
So I’m doing a supernatural playthrough where my sim is trying to raise each kind of occult…. Right now there’s 4 kids and all have imaginary friends. Plant sim, witch, and two aliens… I ensured they played with their IFs a lot to build the relationship but none of them have “come to life”… they’re still dolls. I have NRaas overwatch, MC, and SP, if that helps.
Any ideas?
I’m very sorry if this has been addressed in the wiki, I’m not familiar with Reddit and I did find my way to what I think was the FAQ or Troubleshooting and searched Imaginary Friend and my particular situation did not pop up but I may have been looking in the wrong place.

As SOON as I post this, one of my alien twins’ imaginary friend sprung to life.
And now the second alien twin’s came to life.

Aaaaaand my dog came to lay by me and unplugged my external hard drive where all my games are saved soooo I just lost the progress of both those imaginary friends coming to life lmfao…. At least I’d saved not long before that. What a roller coaster
I’m playing the Plant Sim scenario right now… brand new save and everything and I’ve just ventured out to Innisgreen to meet some fairies and yadda and who do I see but Judith Ward? But… wait a second… JUDITH BROKE?! SHE MARRIED A BROKE?! My how the mighty have fallen.
I’ve got a save where I have a woman who is attempting to have a baby of each occult…. I was interested in Peanut Bahl but I don’t ever see him out and about!!! anyone know where my best bet for spotting him (other than his tomb) would be? And if not, what other ghost should I go for?? Preferably none of the Goth ghosts, please.
