My 100% Functional 3D printed Blow Off Valve

Finally got around to modeling and printing a blow off valve spacer for the Ford 2.0L and 2.3L engines.

I didn’t have factory drawings to work from, so this was a lot of measuring, test fitting, tweaking, and learning along the way. The goal was to make something that keeps a clean bolt-on fit while adding that sharper turbo vent sound.

It uses 3 M6-40mm bolts and two O-rings:

1” OD / 7⁄8” ID / 1⁄8” thick
1 3⁄4” OD / 1 11⁄16” ID / 1⁄16” thick

For anyone printing it, I recommend ABS at a minimum since it lives in the engine bay. Supports are strongly recommended for ABS, and I’d stick with the wall settings provided with the model.

Pretty proud of how this one came together. It’s always cool taking an idea from “I think I can make that” to an actual functional part.

It is complete. Holds boost and is fully 3D printed!

Happy with the model! I saved about $4 (literally almost nothing but fun project).

You need 3 m6-40mm bolts, two Orings, being

1” OD
7/8” ID
1/8” thick

1 3/4”OD
1 11/16” ID
1/16” thick

Printed out of ABS!

3D Printing a "BOV" Diverter that I made in CAD.

3D Modeled BOV Diverter

Going to be printing this and making sure it works.

If it works and needs no revisions then I will post the model for free. Can't believe no one has made and posted this.

Is this thing fried? He told me it was having issues so this was my knowing and I bought it hoping to fix it
