On one hand you have desire, not your wished hopes and dreams. But even just the desire to get a task done. There is more short term but still important to them, like the two kids Alice (fairy obsessed) and Coraline (cosmonaut/alien lover).

But at the same time its obviously not all cookies and sprinkles, there are many cases where it manifests fears too. Old, present, or new. I believe Frankie confirmed in a stream that Aster's Dream Eater form is a manifestation of a reoccurring nightmare from only his childhood. Henderson changes his entire domain into a warzone and becomes a trench-digging mole creature, fitting for a war vet likely with PTSD. Rana has arachnophobia, and the spider currently in her room at the time had filled her thoughts at the time.

Next we have a very important factor, a key aspect of the individuals personality. Edwin was a grand help to the Astronomers, and enjoying the hobby of stargazing himself as well. Lending them his telescopes and equipment to aid them in studying The Visitor. Eventually he became a witness. Enraptured by the night sky and adoring his equipment, he became the amalgam of telescopes and stars known as The Stargazer. Another instance is Fredrick, a painter whom adored creating lifelike masterpieces, only to unintentionally depict the Visitor. Causing him to become paint himself, his medium. And to now be able to bring his creations to reality, be it creatures or items you wish him to replicate. And finally Lyle, the shutterbug. His love for photography in hindsight matches very well for his obsessive stalker nature. Both things aim to "capture" moments on photo paper. And so, cameras and tri-pod stands galore.

Almost done, there is no denying sometimes you just get jumbled over. Like the beutiful and cool but all too unfortunate Jeanne, becoming a giant hydra-worm lined with zipper like teeth doesn't seem to have any connections. Nor does the ever growing Charan, and all his tubes.

Lastly is extremely short, but being infected by another cursed individual like the hands or rats or teeth. This doesn't count for our discussion. Since that is an example of being taken over, not being fundamentally changed.

All in all, we all already agree, none of us are ready to see what form we would achieve. There's no true consistent way to get a one and done answer for The Visitor. It is an unknowable unfathomable cosmic entity. Using the chart or this discussion, you can come up with a handful of somewhat accurate guesses. But at the end of the day, you'll never really confidently know.

This is just a quick little post, but Emmanuel is Hispanic to me.

I'm Dominican myself, and that man is a Mexican who was raised in Canada his whole life. But can fluently speak Spanish due to a good connection with both his family, and his community.

This is how realistically I probably am to recruit each companion as myself

I'm going to go by this on a letter tier list personally. Where F is for no chance at all, and S being an absolute guarantee.

Aster - S tier.

It's a group of smart inquisitive determined people there's no chance I don't talk to all 4 of them and ask if I can help or join. They want to save the world, so do I let's do this. Plus you don't technically NEED the right offerings to get him, so even in the worst case scenario it's still yeah.

Audrey - B tier.

I love her, I would probably build a good connection with her, and I would absolutely get her that key. Alone, its a 100% yes. BUT the issue is her location. I'd probably be too worried about avoiding the giant royal rat beast to think I have the chance to use a vending machine at all. Only until the elevator is fixed, where if I can remember I have change I'd probably feel more confident.

Dan - A tier.

He's called a "creep", but he's really just a weird and kind of ugly guy, not malicious or "creepy". And I understand that on a deep level I'm awkward myself I'd have no issue with him at first.

Ernest - B tier.

The sandwich part yes absolutely I would grab this guy he's fun company. The main issue is Rat Hell. There's no telling how prepared I'd/we'd be for that so it's vauge on if we can save him or not, I'd likely try tho.

Hellen - S tier.

She's a big woman there's little to no chance that I don't just do anything she wants. I'm sorry, and we won't linger on this.

Joel - A tier.

On his own absolutely I'm not abandoning a kid while his family is cursed with freaky gross teeth powers I'm saving this little guy one way or another. The slight iffy-ness is if I traverse and scour his apartment to get him to join me, the big baby monster might get me.

Leigh - F tier.

I AM NOT BEATING THAT SHIT SOLO DAY 1!!! I'M THE GOAT DONT GET ME WRONG BUT IM NOT STUPID NEITHER! I fw Sonic for a reason cuz I gotta go, FAST!

Lyle - S tier.

I dont want to get into what this says about me as a person I would kiss him twice and again I'm sorry. Honestly I might even open my eyes too on accident, I just won't freak and he'll never know cuz dw about it.

Xaria & Monty (+ Juicebox) - C tier.

I dont want people to suffer during the apocalypse, but at the same time they're some real fuckheads. My patience may very well dwindle, and I do have a good amount of self respect to not tolerate them blindly. If THEY don't like that that's on them.

Morton - A tier.

That's my goat he has a certain charm about him I'd give him all my junk at the door, then I'd see him at the parking garage like "yo its my bro" and from there thats it thats my guy. Only not 100% because idk if I'd know to look through trash, I'm a pretty hygienic guy.

Papineau - S tier.

Going off the last point, shared passion. I'm not nearly on Pap's level but I fw a nice organized clean environment we'd click at first just fine.

Phillippe - D tier.

I'm not comically delusional enough to take back his remains in distraught grief over a fake friend. But I will admit my personality. There's a tiny part of me that MAY do it just to mess with him, and then nurse him to full out of curiosity and guilt.

Rat Child - C tier.

I'm sorry. I want to be strong enough, I try to be strong enough, I hope I'm strong enough. But I'd be very scared too, not of this sad child who chose not to be in this world. But of my own suffering, the natural human fear of pain. And I'll never know if I can save it. But I do hope I would try.

Roaches - F tier.

Bugs freak me out, bad hygiene makes me uncomfortable, disgusting living spaces gross me. I will NEVER get so dirty and gross and slob-ish to the point the Roaches manifest.

Sophie - S tier.

I am NOT abandoning an innocent little girl at my door step during the APOCALYPSE! I WILL save her and protect her in my living quarters.

Spider - F tier.

I'm dumb as bricks, wise but dumb. There is no universe where I know or beat all the confusing convoluted mysterious bull shit to recruit the Spider.
