I've got a leak at the lower fuel pump on my Sorento, It's part of the fuel pump assembly, lines and connectors look fine--thankfully. While searching for the part, I found out it has been recalled: Will call the dealer on Monday morning: https://www.tsbsearch.com/Kia/FUE-064
I found the leak and it's on the fuel pump itself, not a hose or connector. It's a small spray coming from the plastic nipple running to the fuel line.
OEM part 31120-C6250 description says, ‘Exc. Fuel Tank Sending Unit. in-tank. Fuel pump asst. 2019-20. What does Exc. mean?
Hope a Kia mechanic or otherwise has had better experience with an upgraded aftermarket pump? I don’t see many or there.

I am wanting to know if there is a better aftermarket pump vs OEM. I generally buy OEM for precision parts like this and know aftermarket pumps are often cheaply made. Wondering if any Kia mechanics here have figured this out and can give me good advice.
Trying to get to the lower fuel pump. Removed all mounting bolts from driver side middle rear seat but it seems to be locked in place. Anyone know if there’s a latch or hidden mounting bolts. I removed mounting bolts from rails, seat belt…not sure what’s holding that one rail in place?

I need to replace my coolant reservoir due to a pinhole leak. I’ve watched videos where the complete cooling system was drained. I recently had to have thermostat changed and coolant system flushed. I noticed most every comment said, no need to drain system and I completely agree, especially since mine is only two months new. Ha. Anyhow, I’m asking if I drain the reservoir only, do I need to burp the system? and what is the correct approach to refilling the reservoir.. can I simply refill the reservoir? 2019 1500 LD 4x4 5.3L
