EMG question

So I had posted the other day about having numbness and tingling that started in in my toes and moved to my ankle and the next day was up to my knee. The next day I got really nervous and called my cop s office and got an urgent visit. I explained my symptoms and the dr took a look at my foot. He was concerned by the amount of weakness in my foot and sent me to the ER.

I was checked by a PA, a neurologist and a hospitalist. I had 3 MRIs bloodwork a couple of times. The neurologists decided I need to have a EMG I have no idea what to expect. Anyone ever have one and can give me a clue what they are what they are looking for?

Medication question/symptom

Not looking for medical advice. Just wondering what people’s thoughts are on my symptomss and what’s going on. Here’s my story back in January my pcp referred me to rheumatology for high ANA I was have joint pain and fatigue.

I saw the rheumatologist in April he did a whole bunch of bloodwork that showed nothing and he said I had inflammatory arthritis and put me on hydroxychloroquine.

Anyway now I am experiencing very dry mouth and dry eyes. No matter how much I drink my mouth is always dry. I think it’s also causing sores in my mouth because I have them on the inside of my cheek. Does anyone know if this is a side effect of the hydroxychloroquine or do you think it’s something I should be concerned about? I don’t see my rheumatologist again until August

Oh no

So I had Morton Neuroma surgery in Oct of last year. After recovering from that and the 2nd surgery in Jan to fix a problem from the first I was having no problems and everything was going smoothly.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks so when I started developing sharp pain in the bottom of my foot. I made an appt with my Dr which wax today. It looks like I have a stump neuroma. Ughh

He said he doesn’t want to do another surgery which is good because I don’t want to have another surgery since I just finished recovering from the other surgery a couple of mos ago. So we are going to watch and see.

I just can’t catch a break!

hydrochloroquine question

I have a question I was wondering if anyone had any similar experience. I have been on hydrochloroquine for 3 weeks and it’s been fine. About a week ago I started getting headaches every day. I’m not sure if it’s just a side effect that will go away or what. Any thoughts?

Any idea what this means?

Hi

I had my first visit with my rheumatologist and we went over my positive ANA titer and level. And talked about my symptoms. Then he ordered a bunch of blood work. Then he contacted me a couple of days later and said that he was diagnosing me with inflammatory arthritis and putting me on hydroxychloroquine. Any idea of what inflammatory arthritis means?
Thanks!

Question post cdiff

I got cdiff back in February following taking antibiotics following surgery. I took Vancomycin and Fidamoxicin to treat the cdiff which cleared the infection. I was wondering if anyone has long lasting issues after getting over the infection? I still get occasional loose stools although nothing like when I was sick. I was just curious how long it takes for everything to go back to normal
