Bit of a noobie, but how do I regulate this? It won’t move

Early 1900s Elgin watch. I’m trying to move the regulator arm but it doesn’t move. I don’t want to force it. It seems to be a different design than the others I have. Not sure if there is something weird about it. Thanks

Tips on removing oxidation on the case? There’s no rust, only the green oxidation.

I’m not fully sure if the material. Nickel maybe? It looks a bit better from just water and a cotton swab, but it’s still quite green.

Question about my plan to make an a-11 ww2 homage watch.

I found just about the perfect dial, but the thing that ruins it is the arrow above the 6 position. Is there a practical way to remove it? Don’t tell me sharpie

Why ask for prayer from others?

I’m trying to figure this out. Why should I ask my friends and family to pray for me, when I can pray for myself? Prayer isn’t a numbers game, and many prayers won’t work better than one, right?

The same goes for the other way. Why pray for others, if they can pray for themselves. In this situation I’m referencing someone that will pray for themselves, not an unbeliever. I see people online who ask millions of people for prayer and likely get a ton, why?

What does Paul mean by, “all things are lawful?”

I’m trying to wrap my brain around what this really means. So is adultery and murder lawful? Can I murder my brother and have that be lawful? No? Paul still condemns those things in Corinthians 6, right? I understand we are free from the fulfilled law. But we also are told to sin no more. And aren’t we still under moral law?

My brains hurts trying to think about this. It’s hard for it to not feel like a contradiction.
