I've seen a lot of people theorizing that Rivals will be getting a huge team-up, competitive system, and balancing overhaul for Season 9 based on the producer's tweets, in which he promised that a massive overhaul would be coming to Rivals in 2026.

If this is true (which I hope it is especially for the competitive system it's genuinely filled with throwers, smurfs, and cheaters as I'm writing this).

here is my personal wishlist below.

Honestly with them changing the dev vision format, this is starting to sound more and more likely.

Could this open the door for another Fantastic Four team-up? I'll just be theorizing over here, but considering they said "Fantastic Four synergy will be weakened for a while" (not word for word, but that was what was implied by it), we could be getting a new team-up that is better and more rewarding for all F4 members. If there's a team-up system overhaul, the F4 would naturally be one of the first teams to experience it.

Possible Mister Fantastic Rework?

Okay while a new team-up is definitely possible because the Torch and Reed current team-ups are terrible, Reed isn't particularly at the top of the list for "unplayable needs an entirely different kit" like Black Widow.

However I have an assumption that Reed's kit will be reworked at some point (even if not in S9) to prioritize a faster TTK (time to kill) and reduce the clunkiness his kit currently has by:

- Integrating the Rocket team-up into his base kit.

- Reducing the animation time for his inflated form/ultimate attack activation/de-activation.

- Reworking his ultimate attack in some shape or form.

- Sorting out the Distended Grip bugs & Fridge Form no regs.

While I'm not saying anyone has officially mentioned Reed in the "overhaul theorizing by any streamer or content creator" I'm sure he is near the top of the list for the Rivals rework/entirely re-balance scheme alongside BW, off-supports, and fliers, if they were to make a huge overhaul for launch/early post-launch heroes.

I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up, but I'd say keep an eye out for tomorrow. Even if it's not our turn specifically tomorrow, if any hero gets a rework or a game-changing team-up, it means we'll eventually get our turn.

Real talk no copium, we know ECU skin didn't sell well as it should've because it was released along side ECU Invisible Woman

So what's the probability of us actually getting a summer skin? I'm pretty sure summer wave 1 for skins will start with S8.5 and continue throughout S9.

Watch them patch Dino hitbox in one week while reed primary buff isn't working and his fridge form still no regs after they fixed it in S4 supposedly

(Btw: REED ABSOLUTELY SUCKS against devil dino, if they remove this bug, dino has range, shield, cc, cc immunity absolutely nothing reed can do outside this bug)

I'm loving the reed as thragg/ INVINCIBLE references

The evolution of this subreddit / Reed mains has to be studied lmao

Forget about skins for now, there's no point in asking for skins now especially if NetEase half-ass them (I'd genuinely crash out if they treat another comic skin like his classic or doom reed the way they treated the maker outfit)

Concentrate into making reed viable! only then his pick-up rate would increase which would naturally lead to more revenue from him.

Only then rivals would give us good skins.

With season 8 approaching and the fact that rivals graced us with a time limited epic skin with no sfx shop skin after 9 months waiting and considering the fact that Susan gets legendaries seasonally now.

It's fair for them to release the next Susan legendary and drop the next lore excuse on why Reed won't get a skin

Firstly it was "Erm he's busy with lab work" which they changed to "Erm he's busy with the kids" after the backlash

Secondly it was "Erm reed can't dance" (has existing dance in 2007 F4 movie btw) & "it's a girls night"

(Thor, Spidey, Namor -matching skin-, Starlord disco skins)

So what are we thinking? How can we make reed more lame next season?

Like title says he'll get buffed anyways but what I'm worried about is that zyhiong will look at reed and say

"Hm... His Distended Grip does 1 second of immobilization? Make it 2" and give the following speech "We've noticed that Mister Fantastic has been struggling so we've decided to make him extra stretchy

- Mister Fantastic Distended Grip grounds/Immobilizes enemies for 2 seconds!"

You know we might not be the best "anti-dive" or "semi-off tank" or even have a good ult but we are DEFINITELY the best ult charger in the entire game

With 0 burst damage we're allowing the enemy to heal their DPS/tanks and farm their ults quicker

With insane survivability you're helping the enemy DPS/tanks farm their ults aswell

And the inflated form is all time bonus for the enemy team!

In other words you're the best double agent in the game and in the right match up you might be able to surpass black widow in terms of throwing! ❤️

Stand proud your character is S tier in something!

Why are you so against the idea? If there's a good chunk of players (who are increasing by the day) complaining because he doesn't feel good in mid-high elo?

Why whenever somebody mentions a rework that seems great for Reed you go "That would make him overpowered" which in some cases it wouldn't but let's suppose it does

What's wrong with reed getting buffed or giga -buffed for a season? If he becomes an issue that concerns all players similar to Elsa/Invis/etc he would be nerfed a season later, but atleast then Rivals would have the following idea:

"This was Reed worst state" & "This was Reed Overpowered state" then this should be his "Balanced state"

It's not like reed has ever had a good season where he was considered a solid pick aside from half a season in S2
