The fact that jokes seem to get censored faster than porn, vulgar content, or genuinely disturbing material in India says more about our mindset than it does about the jokes themselves.

Look at the Samay Raina and India’s Got Latent controversy. A comedian makes an offensive joke, and suddenly society discovers its moral compass. Meanwhile, the internet is overflowing with explicit content, vulgarity, abuse, and far worse — but apparently the real national emergency is someone saying something we didn't like and laughing about it.

We don't seem to have a problem with vulgarity. We have a problem with vulgarity that makes us uncomfortable in the wrong way. Porn is tolerated. Violence is consumed. Toxicity gets millions of views. But a comedian crosses an invisible line with a joke? Suddenly everyone becomes a guardian of Indian culture.

Maybe the problem was never the joke. Maybe it's the fact that we have become a society where being offended is easier than having a sense of humour.

And if a joke scares us more than the content we willingly consume every day, perhaps the censorship isn't exposing the comedian's mindset — it's exposing ours.

It's just an opinion. Sris from North Square has downgraded. Till last year it was really good. They had better samosas, kachoris, bread pakoda. This time they have the same items but tastes changed.

They probably shifted to a cheap vendor or something I believe. It has tht strange soda taste.

Next it was fucking VEG the only place in full VIT and now they started shipping non veg. They dint even have separate counters for it like how Georgia has. (Was it the greed that they shifted to Non Veg) Idu... They were getting enough customers in Veg I believe.

The people who serve in Sris are quite slow and they don't even listen. I doubt they wash hands when shifting from Non veg to veg Orders..

Thinking about making around 200 custom lapel pins for an upcoming nonprofit event.

We’re trying to keep the cost around $300, so I’ve been looking at some cheaper options. Printed pins seem to make the most sense for our budget, but I’m a little worried about how they turn out in person — especially with colors and smaller details.

Juniours you cant change your proctors, stop asking for their reviews and getting under pressure. Its of no use. And proctors dont care unless you keep breaking laws. As a normal student you only need to meet proctor 3 times in a semester that too just for signing for Proctor Meeting.

And for Hostellers, yes they will be little shitty while providing holidays, well Your entering VIT this will become the least of your worries of what is ahead. Just chill.

As Much As I wanted a 2 months holiday I have started to realise I was doing better without it. Not even 1 week and my parents have already made it a living hell. Thats the problem with the indian mindset and the blame game. These people here one word and make the whole life around it. 4 years ago it was FIITJEE and ended up murdering my whole 11th and 12th for the stupid exam. Then I had started to realise I actually had started wanting IIT but then nah I didnt get it. They still taunt me for that - "Tumko itna mauka diya gaya 4 saal pehle bhi time waste kiye abhi bhi karoge"
And now since the world is all about AI and they have learnt a new word - "internships", they are forcing me to give them a what A PLAN WHAT IM GOING TO DO FOR 2 MONTHS.
Oh for Fucks sake its my LIFE my rules.I know what to do. I have it thought and I dont want to share with you people. But no they are taunting me day and night telling think think what you will do in this two months. There are students working in companies.

Seniors Please Help or anyone.
Ok I completed my semester2 today. Im currently at 6gpa and the maximum I can achieve by this sem is 6.5. Ya it sucks to be here. But can someone give me a reality check right now. Its practically impossible to reach 9 Am I right? I have one back too.(Might fail A few Subjects this sem I think) By end of fourth year Ill be max at 8.5-9, if I even give my best(hypothetically).

No sugarcoating so I should just stop dreaming of getting On campus placements. I should already know which position I'll be at the end of 4th year. Probably no job yea!!

So What Do I do now Man! There is No hope. What do I even do in the next 3 years so I can even manage to get job if even OffCampus. We know now this is gone nd there is no saving. Looking at the crowd here and my personal so undermined social behaviour this is going to be very tough. I really wanna know what should I do. I have no internships this summer. And I cant even apply for any. I dont even have a GitHub or LinkedIn profile. So yes doomed on that side as well. Not very much of a great speaker here nor Do I have Any Other Passion or Hobby that I could choose as my main stream by quitting enginnering. And Finally I dont have the "Father Money" to sit and experiment with my life. I really Wanna know What do I Do. This is going nowhere.
