How the heck do you rehab this?

Hey guys.

So I have had pain in my lower ribs (mid back) where they meet my spine for like 4 months. If I roll
My shoulder it pops on the left side in my mid back, I’m constantly cracking and popping the area.

I’ve tried backing way off and not trying to rehab, then when I do, it flares up. (For rehab I’ve been strengthening abs, doing thread the needles, serratus work, and stretching/diaphragm breathing.)

I’ve tried pushing through and laying on backpod etc despite pain, it flares.

It takes my breath away sometimes, lately I’ve been having this heavy/pinching/tired feeling when I walk too long right across my left mid back.

I’m kind of at my wits end with this. Just got off the pod again (trying to get things moving because my nephews are visiting and want to hang on me and stuff and it’s killing me). When I get off the pod I get this sharp breathtaking pain and it feels like my ribs are “rebounding” back to where they were. It’s temporary but I don’t know what to make of it.

Does anyone have like a protocol for this? I have scoliosis and some thoracic kyphosis. I’ve had neck MRI and Chest x ray. The next thing is a MRI of my mid back….

I have 2 other forms of chronic pain as is a 3rd is gonna send me over the edge.

Thing looks ridiculous but I had leftovers from fixing my fence and it works!

Edit:

Damn you guys are making me feel so good about myself 😭😭🫡

10mm vs 3/8" Axle? Toddler/Kids Bike (Strider 14x). Shopping for pegs for a DIY

Hey guys,

I might be a complete potato for this, but I'd appreciate help. I'm looking to buy some pegs for my sons Strider bike. Its a Strider 14x, hes having trouble with pedaling and I want to build him a pedal trainer with a 2x4 and some bike pegs.

Trouble is, according to my research the size for the axle nut on this bike is super small (Google AI search says 10mm), I measured 1/4", and most pegs I see are 3/8"

I'm assuming 3/8" pegs wont fit on this axle nut? This isnt my Forte at all, I just want to help him with his pedaling (and until now ive been just holding the back of the bike up while he pedals haha)

appreciate any help!

LG WebOS Users -Controllers?

I have 2 8bitDO controllers with 2.4G dongles and I get CRAZY input lag using WebOS client, only when I’m using Moonlight.

How do you guys fix this? I have a NVIDIA Shield TV but I really wanted 120hz, might just give up and go back to my normal setup

Thoracic Kyophosis, where do I start?

I’ve had chronic neck pain for 3+ years, and now my ribs are starting to have issues. I need to fix this, I’ve been doing a lot of mid back/trap training, but apparently it hasn’t done much.

Looking for any advice.

Wife and I have been hiking again, found old camelback…how old is too old?

I have a camelbak in good shape but very old. I think the bladder is 10-13 years old. It smells a little bit like rubber, but otherwise isn’t leaking.

Am I crazy to use this?

I can’t find any mildew anywhere i dried it really well after last use as far as I can tell.

I did however buy it in my 20s and I’m 35 😅

Looking for recommendations. 2 adults in their 30’s wife’s first time all inclusive

Hey guys,

My wife and I have hit a couple of career milestones and I’ll be hitting my mid 30s this month. We want to celebrate and recharge a little bit in the coming months.

As a kid I went to a couple of all inclusives but I can’t remember much, only that it was fun.

My wife and I are looking to take 5-7 days away and not care about much.

We enjoy good food and good beverages and a nice view. We would like to go somewhere tropical. Usually we vacation in Kaui but our last 2 vacations were there so we want to mix it up.

We are public servants so we don’t make a ton of money but we do okay. I think 400 a night might be our cap with some flex.

Our son will likely stay with my folks so family friendly isn’t a must.

TIA

Opinions on DIY

Hey folks.

We currently have a Tempur-pedic hybrid medium from Costco and I don’t really think I like it at this point.
I have a friend that I work with who swears by DIY mattresses and I know a bit about this myself but more about what hasn’t worked for us.
Data points:
5’9” 200Lbs muscular, back/side/stomach
5’7” 155Lbs, side sleeper, occasional back

-We had a Nectar mattress we liked, crapped out in 3-4 years. Honestly this was perfect for us but I was also in my mid 20s and nothing bothered me.
-Spindle Latex mattress for a year Soft/Med/Hard config, all Dunlop. Didn’t like, ultimately too hard I think (but this could be because it was solid)
-Novafoam comfort grande. Did not like, I think this was weirdly shaped, not supportive and had bad edges.
I THINK we want a Hybrid latex bed. I have a talalay pillow and I love the feel of it, thought of that as a comfort layer…or just getting a talalay topper for my current bed.

TLDR: At this point I have 3 spindle layers that are sitting in boxes… I’m debating returning the Tempur Pedic to Costco and getting some King Size Texas Pocket Coils, and then laying a spindle layer over the top.

Does that sound like it would be a comfortable DIY given our needs?

I recently got my hands on a 4070 Super which was a decent upgrade over my 6700xt, but more than decent for streaming.

I stream really often, right now I stream to a Nvidia Shield TV, it’s the 2017 Pro version. Caps at 4k/60 but doesn’t support AV1.

I’ve been reading Onn streaming boxes etc support AV1. Should I be looking for a different alternative to get into the AV1 space?

Celebrated my sons 4th birthday today. It was cars themed, can’t see much of the decor here as it was all inside but he had an absolute blast. Rented him a bounce house to tear up with his buds.

All his friends from daycare came and several of our personal friends and their kids.

He cried when it was time for people to leave, and he was upset everyone else didn’t get gifts. Kids got a big heart.

Just feeling some proud dad vibes today. He’s got a whole grip of new big kid toys. I feel like we just entered a new era.

It was so cool to see all these adults and other kids come to our home and obviously know my son so well and have such a high opinion of him. Everyone seemed so in tune with his likes and dislikes, know he’s a big feeler, and a bit particular.

I think it was just kind of cool to bear witness to the little mark he’s making on people in his life.

He was in peak form in the piñata as well, and we practiced 😂

I haven’t cooked here yet, shit, I might not at all, but I don’t like where I normally have the griddle. Is this too close? Probably a foot away
