Where can I turn in old smartphones- iphone?

I started renting a room with friends and the previous person in the room left a few iphones in their old drawer. A couple were phones their friends gave to them when they didnt have one, another they found in a parking lot, cracked to hell. They've just been sitting in a drawer where they were left, and they're unneeded, just taking up space. Can they be recycled? If so, where?

Broke my S23+ last weekend- Looking for a budget phone while I save for a better one. Suggestions?

What are some good budget phones? My S23+ was having issues anyway- nothing that made me want to replace it immediately, but I was toying with the idea of replacing it within the next 6 months or so, whenever I saved up and got a new job. There was this update screen that kept popping up randomly, and the Smart Things program (ig to connect the phone to any smart gadgets a person may have?) kept popping up randomly too, INSISTENTLY no matter what I did. Anyway, I dropped it and the corner cracked so the screen is a done deal. Repairs are $260-$300, so I I figured I could get a more updated phone instead.

I was looking into the alternative unlocked android phones bc I wanted to try something new, but most that are still on par with 23+ or better are like $750 minimum for even 128gb storage. 256gb is my minimum, 512GB preferred. Regardless, my max budget for a phone right now is closer to $500, so I figure I may as well get an okay budget phone for under $260 and use it for the next 6 months to a year until I can catch a good sale and get a better phone. The budget phone would be my eternal back up phone in case anything like this happened again. Next tech sale seasons are basically late August and late November/early December, but there's no guarantee sales will actually be good.

Is this reasonable?
