JUST WATCHED P3DDI

The concept of the movie was good. It features a village hidden inside the country that is completely unrecognized by the government. Because of this lack of recognition, the villagers suffer immensely—there are no educational facilities, no employment opportunities, no means of communication, no railway stations, and not even any basic roads. The core plot effectively follows the protagonist's struggle to get the village officially recognized by the government.

However, the film suffers from several major negative aspects:

Weak writing and underdeveloped characters: The script lacks depth, leaving the characters feeling flat and incomplete.

Problematic portrayal of the female lead: Severe backlash over the depiction of the heroine significantly damaged the film’s reception. Viewers heavily accused the movie of objectifying the female lead through hypersexualized camera angles, inappropriate dialogue, and scenes that romanticized non-consensual behavior.

Absurd cricket logic: It makes no sense why a batsman has to tap the handle of his bat on the ground just to hit a sixer.

Bizarre genre mixing: It is completely baffling how the filmmakers managed to mix elements of cricket with wrestling.

Glaring plot holes: If the protagonist knew he was so fast that he could win a gold medal in the Olympics, why on earth did he choose wrestling over running?

Unnecessary romance: The love story was poorly executed and entirely uncalled for.

Misplaced priorities: The filmmakers delayed the release just to shoot an item song. They spent an excessive amount of time casting, hoping an "item girl" would give the film pan-India appeal. This delay made it obvious that the team lacked faith in their own final product, and ultimately, no amount of marketing gimmicks could save it.

Pervasive misogyny: The overall tone and execution of the movie were completely misogynistic.

Cinematography & Technical Analysis

The film presents a stark contrast between its technical execution and its post-production quality:

The Flaws: The visuals are severely bogged down by objectifying camera angles, a noticeable post-production mismatch, and a lack of a truly unique visual identity. Furthermore, a glaring dissonance exists between the high-quality, textured live-action cinematography and the subpar Visual Effects (VFX). This makes the green screen usage in key sequences (like the train scene) appear highly artificial, breaking audience immersion.

The Praise: Paradoxically, the cinematography and color grading are widely acclaimed as the film's strongest assets, creating a raw, earthy, and visually grand aesthetic that elevates the narrative. The camera department successfully blended vintage textures with realistic skin tones, setting a new technical benchmark in Telugu cinema despite the glaring storytelling flaws.

Lack of Focus: They could have made a proper sports drama like Dangal or a pure commercial entertainer. Instead, they tried to mix both styles, which ultimately resulted in a total disaster at the box office.
