Collection of African Artifacts from the early 20th Century

Edited: After reading some comments and checking my family history, I see that the possible years are 1932 to sometime in the 60's. That's the timeframe my grandparents were in Swaziland. I was thinking 30's and 40's because that's when my dad was there, but I forgot that even though HE left in the late 40's, his parents stayed in south Africa for almost two more decades. I think some fo the knick-knack types of things were probably gifts from the natives to my grandparents (who never would have used the items).

What is the best way for me to sell my dad's collection of African artifacts from the 1930's? I need to downsize and I just can't keep everything. Here are some photos of some of the items. It's such a niche collection from south Africa from almost 100 years ago.

Which brand/model is the best at masking tinnitus?

I'll be getting hearing aids for the first time and I have screaming loud, high pitched unilateral tinnitus (along with borderline moderate hearing loss in the same ear). Looking to tone down the tinnitus if possible.

Want to find home for Antique African Artifacts

My dad grew up in Swaziland and I ended up inheriting a fair number of artifacts from South Africa from the early 20th century (1920-1940's). I'd like to find a new home for the items and preferably not a pure donation (as I am a senior on a fixed income and could use an assist here and there).

Can anyone recommend a good way for me to rehome these items (horns, small furniture, statues, beadwork, etc)?

CHAD score

My Chad score is 2. I have an appt with my cardiologist next week because she wants to start me on anticoagulants.

A Chad of 2 is between YOU DON'T NEED THEM and YOU NEED THEM.

She's pushing me. I am not a fan of any medications but I'm also not a fan of strokes.

I'd like to think a healthy lifestyle (good bmi, whole food plant based, exercise daily, etc) counts for something.

I guess I'll do what she says.... just curious if anyone else at Chad 2 feels like they are better off without anticoagulants?

My cardiologist even admitted (in a previous conversation) that all medications do things to the body other than their target goal.

Getting an MRI with contrast today

Just found this group. As the title states, I'm having an MRI with contrast today. I'll come back and report the findings.

Just read a few posts. I have unilateral high-pitched constant loud ringing as well as unilateral hearing loss. The screeching DOES get louder when I turn my head to the opposite side. No doctor yet has asked me that (I just read it here), nor have they pushed on my jugular/carotid. I haven't actually SEEN anyone in person. :-( Got a "phone" appt. Doc ordered the MRI with contrast and apparently will speak with me after he sees the results.

Fingers crossed. I'm not even sure what I'm hoping for. Do I WANT them to find something? Anyway, this was just the step prior to me ordering a hearing aid. The team at my HMO sort of give off the vibe that they won't find anything, but will look just in case (or even to humor me).

I'll report back when I hear the results. Nice to know there's a group here for support/empathy/info etc.

(edited) I posted my follow up and thoughts in a comment below.

Anyone else have similar tinnitus?

Mine is loud, constant, high-pitched, only in one ear, and keeps beat with my pulse.

I have an mri scheduled for next week (because the tinnitus and the heating loss are unilateral AND because of the pulse), and I just feel like they're going to say, "everything looks fine". Which might not be bad news.

But that doesn't give me hope of ever reducing the ever-present loud screeching in my left ear.

Next move is I'm looking into a particular kind of hearing aide that supposedly can help by trying to cancel out some of the squeal by producing another tone (or something like that).

I'm also going to ask if insurance will cover some cbt. I've heard that can help a smidge.

Anyone else take the sleep scores with a grain of salt?

My watch thinks because I'm in bed at 8:30 quietly reading (I read laying down, using a flexi-armstand to hold my kindle) that I'm trying to fall asleep at 8:30.

Not true. Once I'm done reading, I'm out like a light but i get terrible latency scores because my galaxy 7 thinks I'm trying to fall asleep at 8:30.

I wish the latency was actually tied to my putting the watch in sleep mode rather than when I'm lying still.
